Take ballroom dancing lessons and <br>wow them at your reception!

Because you want to make your wedding a fabulous success, (and because your wedding music is the one of the most important elements, the emotional 'thread' that pulls all the pieces together at the wedding) we're here to help you with some suggestions for what to do first.

Decide on what kind of music will suit your theme.
The entertainment you will choose will determine the mood for the reception and set the pace for the whole party. Be sure the entertainment you choose covers a broad spectrum of music for the different music tastes you would have to accommodate, which will keep everyone happy and enjoying themselves.

To set the right mood and to get the right type of entertainment, you have to determine:

  1. The size of the wedding
  2. The level of formality
  3. And of course your budget.
  4. A jazz band might be great for a formal do but inappropriate for more of a casual affair!

Choose live music, CDs or DJ.

Before the choice of whether to have live music or a disc jockey was mainly driven by choice and to an extent nowadays it still is! However, you will still find a good band or musical group at a fairly reasonable price.

Your best bet is to either get referrals from your wedding planner or do the ground work yourself!
