Keeping the Sparks!

What do you and your FH (or new hubby, Rhonda) do to keep the sparks flying in the relationship. Cause this planning get hectic and stressful.

FH and I go on "dates" every other week. We usually just go out to get something to eat at a sit down place, nothing really fancy but it keeps us focused on why we are getting married and not the fact that we are getting married. It gives us a couple of hours away from the kids too.

We do the dates too. We are actually past due for a date. He works at my school, in my college (College of Human Sciences at Florida State) and we STILL don't see each other for days sometimes because we are so busy. Its about to get worse because I start my internship in January, so we'll only see each other when we meet up for wedding planning, but it'll only be for 2 months because he's moving in After the wedding. So we're trying to squeeze in some intimacy and romance, but its hard. We also see each other in married and engaged couple's class at MY church, but he leaves to go to HIS church afterwards. Well, it'll be OUR church after the 3rd when I join.

I think that date nights are very important and maybe finish them off with lots of hug/kisses and a nice sensuous foot or body massage.

Re: Keeping the Sparks!

DWBride, you already know what to do. Smile I spent time talking with my husband. I also sent him cards, emails, etc. just to let him know how wonderful he is. He would put notes in my pocket, send emails, surprise me with arranging for our daughter to spend time with her grandmother, which gave us more time together. There are so many ways that you can show your appreciation for one another. You don't have to spend money, just be a little creative.

Bumble~ It will be worth the wait!

PureBliss~ I will have to use some of those foot rubs too!

Rhonda~ It's nice he takes out extra time to make sure you have time alone! FH and I send cards every so often and emails too. I'm trying to get him to send me flowers, no luck! Sad But I truly appreciate all he does for me!
