Congrats Pamcrow! Everything looks great! May God bless you and your family. So how did your day go? Any advise for the brides to be?...By the way, what part of Upstate, NY are you from?
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm from Albany, NY. My day went very well with the exception of limo problems. The driver was supposed to pick men up first and drop them off at church then pick up the ladies but he went to wrong address to get the men. Instead of being at 490 North Lover's Lane (for example)he was waiting outside 490 South Lover's Lane. My advice is to read your vendor contracts thoroughly because that oversight made our ceremony start an hour late. Other than that it was a BEAUTIFUL day
Bridal Party Processional: "So Amazing" by Luther Vandross, instrumental
Bride's Processional: "One and a Million You" by Larry Graham
Solo: "Build my Home in You" by Vicki Winan
Unity Candle song: "He Looked beyond my Fault" a hymnal
Recessional: "Ribbon in the Sky" by Stevie Wonder, instrumental
First Dance: "From Now On" by Regina Belle and Glenn Jones
Father-Daughter Dance: "My Girl" by Temptations (my dad used to sing this all the time when I was little)
Mother-Son Dance: "Song for Mama" by Boys II Men
My favorite part of ceremony was the unity candle lighting. Once we light our candle, each of our kids came up and lit a candle from our flame. You could hear our guest going "awwhh". My pastor was singing a soulful version of "He looked beyond my fault" at the time and for me it was the most sentimental part of ceremony.
My only regret from day is my photographer didn't get any group shots of the entire wedding party together. Our one limo driver was stressing us on the time because we started so late saying It's not his fault the problems when had with the other limo. So after the ceremony we had to rush to the reception site so that limos could leave. We had a large bridal party and once they got to the reception, it was like a free for all. You couldn't keep everyone together long enough to get group shots. I'm not upset though because I can honestly say EVERYONE had a blast at my wedding. The dance floor stayed pack and smiles and laughter was everywhere. It was like a big party and you almost hated to be interrupted for cake cutting, garter toss, etc. We had a ball !!!

Pamcrow, thanks for sharing your day with us. The lighting of the unity candles sounds like an "aww" moment
By the way I am from Rochester...pretty far from Albany but once I seen the Upstate, NY I got a little excited like "hey, maybe I know her" lol Anywho, May God bless you and your new family!!

Re: Pamcrow's wedding day
Akitten the first year has been great. We lived together almost 5 years before marriage and absolutely nothing has changed since we walked the aisle. For us, that's a VERY GOOD thing. Alot of people look at me crazy when I say that but if you really think about it, it really makes perfect sense.

I live by that mantra, it's a piece of paper for Maryland and the Feds for taxes gurl, an extra ring to wear and you get "upgraded" from girlfriend/boyfriend/fiancee to wife/husband.......lol... My FH and I have known eachother since high school and have lived together for 3 years and I do not expect nothing to change (except my last name).....

Re: Pamcrow's wedding day
Soon I dropped a few hints on one of the Word Association posts but I didn't actually say the exact date of my anniversary. I've never been a center of attention type of person (although my presence is often known..LOL) so I didn't want to make a big deal out of it. Even my coworker were surprised I didn't mention it to them and they remember weeks later. That's just me.
Soon I'm glad its a friend I look like
Thanks Ginoue.

Re: Pamcrow's wedding day
Len said the same thing, I'm not sure why. Sometimes when I'm at work I can't see the images but when I get home, I can. That's weird. From this computer I can see all the images I just posted, all except one. When I get to work tomorrow I'll see if the one I can't see shows up. Then I'll now for sure that it must be something computer related.
