Re: The perfect cake

Hi there..>Thanks..My colors are ivory and burgundy. My original thoughts were burgundy and champagne but everytime I would call a florist and or cake decorater..They would thing I wanted pink..I would try to get them to understand that champagne isn't pink but more of a taupe, ivory color so just to keep down the confusion I said ivory. I'm getting publix to do this cake for me because I've read that they not only look great but they taste great. I just want my buttercream icing to be the perfect color so hopefully they'll match up pretty well. I also have a sample of one of my centerpieces here..I think it will go very nice with the cakes and my other decorations.

@ Housewife..All the tiers will be the same cake. Simple white with BC icing. I am also getting a grooms cake make for my FH. The name is Chocolate Sensation and its gorgeous. I'm sure he doesn't care how it looks but more about the taste..>With me..They both must be on point.

Re: The perfect cake

Hi there, Yes I'm going with 4 tiers...but the top is of course for usSmile...Yes I'm using real flowers..I decided it would be best for me to have the real roses on top of organza tulle so that the flowers won't be touching the cake. Sorta like you see in the pic. I fell in love with it when I saw this cake but I don't like that fondant stuff..so I will definetely be telling the decorator to use the real thing. I'm sure it will be just as beautiful.

Re: The perfect cake

I would say I like the second cake. Heres a tiffany shapped cake, from the bakery that I am thinking about using for individual tiffany style cupcakes for my guest, but you may think this one is too boring.
