Re: What NOT to do when planning your wedding

...and the gentleman looks so nice too. I'm like, why does he have her on his arm? But can you really be surprised these days? What has happened to the prom dresses our young girls wear? The prom dresses I see these days cannot compare to what I thought were sexy dresses when I was in high school. They fall off the young ladies' breasts just like that woman in the picture. Did you see that girl on TV this year complaining for not being let into the prom when all she had were pieces of cloth stuck to her body?

Come on! Where are the mothers and fathers?! My parents would have looked at me like I was CRAZY!!!"Young lady, where do you think you're going dressed like that?" That's just what the would have asked. Don't moms go prom dress shopping with their daughters anymore? 'Cause they look like they're shopping at hookers-r-us. ..and don't talk about the young men. Why do our young men want to look like pimps??!! No, they don't look cool! Isn't the era of Blacksploitaion movies over? If they're looking like pimps and the young ladies are looking like hookers, what does that imply?

Do not reenact a wedding you went to that was a reenactment of a wedding THAT bride went to that was a reeneanctment of a reenactment of corny-a$$ Coming To America. Make you some new memories people, dang.

Musik is back, Holla!

Thanks for the love, G. I've been spinning around in the washing machine called life. Here are the highlights:
1) Zimbabwe's dictator lost the election and began a campaign of torture and murder. FH was trapped in his house and could only call me. (violence has died down, airports are open, FH is coming next month)
2) FSIL decided she was leaving the country -- and her two young children -- with FH to try and keep him from moving here (nipped that in the bud, fa real)
3) I got a hard fought promotion at work and now i'm swing shifts as clinical supervisor over a theraputic milieu for foster youth.
4) I found my venue, put the deposit on my dress (it'll be here Dec. 5), and bought the first of my favors.

Phew!!

To all the newbies and recent brides, allow me to reintroduce myself... my name is Musik.
