Newspaper announcements are always good and usually free. You can also send out announcements the way new parents do. Throwing an engagement party is also fun and a great opportunity to ask people to be in your wedding party.

Hey you'll don't forget that some people love love absolutley love weddings and the minute they hear engagement, the gifts start rolling in especially from older people--that's a nice thing also, its people way of wishing you well and all of God's blessing.

How can I make a submission to Love & Happiness?
Submit a clear full-color, full-faced photograph of the bride and groom with:

-The couple's full name, address and telephone number (be certain to include the bride's maiden name) on the back of the photo.
-Wedding location, including the city and state.
-Couple's education and occupation.
-City and state in which the couple plans to reside.
-Honeymoon spot.
For anniversary submissions, the couple should be married for 50 years or more. Provide:
-Location of celebration, including city and state.
-If couple is retired, provide former occupations.
-Give the number of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren where applicable.
