Re: African Themed wedding
A traditional almond favor consists of 5 sugared almonds placed in laces or tulles and tied and decorated with ribbons and flowers to match the colour theme of the special occasion. The 5 almonds represent health, wealth, happiness, longevity and fertility and are traditionally given to female guests at weddings as a thank you for sharing the Bride and Groom's special day and to provide guests with a lasting memento. It is now very popular to give gentlemen and children boxed favors - no one is left out these days!

I really like your idea for favors. Didn't know of the fertility benefits of almonds! Maybe I'll put it in the cake...hmmm. I want some babies, too!

We are wearing african attire, the entire bridal party. What suggestions do you have for the hall?

On the chairs you can drape Kente or mud cloth bows. Use your imagination. Africa is COLOR. It is Vibrant. Hence the name of my site, Vibrant Brides! Get more ideas Click Here.
