I need some advice:

My dress is ivory and my colors are ivory, gold, and wine. Should my FH wear a black tux, ivory vest, shirt, and tie or ivory tux, gold vest, and gold tie?

I think that the ivory with the gold will be nice! is your wedding after 5? not that it matters, my wedding is at 5:30 and FH is wearing ivory!

This is an easy one!

Let him try on each combination, and determine which look he likes best....The look he doesn't choose can be the look for the groomsmen....

BTW: My brother did the ivory tux, gold vest and gold tie, and his groomsmen wore the black tux with gold vest and gold tie and it turned out beautifully...and my brother is dark-skinned....It just depends on what FH is comfortable in....my DH (also dark-skinned) did the white tux while his groomsmen wore black tuxes...the vest and tie for theirs were tiffany blue.

Hey rwinkfield - I never noticed we have basically the same colors! I want my FH in the ivory tux and shirt with the gold tie and vest. Some men don't like white or ivory tuxes though so see what he thinks. The black would still work and look good also.

Oh yeah girl it works! My brother did it and he looked great....The man has to have confidence, like my DH and my brother....But I agree, make him try it on, and let him decide...and like you said either one would work...

I wanna jump on this question boat! Me, Future, and Rwinkfield all have the same colors ..and FH was wearing
but with an ivory shirt ....

What do yall think about him in an ivory tux ...which will means his attire will be lighter than mine?

I don't know ladies, must be me, but rwinkfield and Turiya, I'm loving the attire exactly the way it is.

I love the idea of the Ivory tux, and would love him in it IF I was also wearing ivory ...see I think that's my issue ..that I'll be in gold and he in ivory ...wouldn't that be off?

Since you'd be in Gold, you would definitely need to tone it down a bit, therefore, the black tux/gold vest/ and Ivory shirt. Other than that, it may look a bit much.
