Wedding Planner Rules

http://onceuponyourwedding.com/blog/category/new-rules/

The site is hilarious and on that note are there any "rules" that you wish you could tell people?

Re: Wedding Planner Rules

LMAO!

My rule: Yes this is your day but I do NOT want to wait 2 hours at your reception site while you travel around the city taking pictures! Especially after your wedding started 2 hours late!

Re: Wedding Planner Rules

I would like to tell my guest to rsvp on time and not just show up to the wedding with three people with you. Also don't come and eat up all the food, get drunk, and talk about my wedding when you didnt even cover your plate.

Re: Wedding Planner Rules

NEW RULE!

If you want me to be in your wedding, be honest about what you expect me to do....I am here to help, but I am not an endentured servant, and slavery ended in 1865! I won't be serving the entire guestlist, I will not walk in stilettoes (esp to serve folks), nor will I be spending 300.00 on a dress that doesn't look good on curvy women, 100+ a hairstyle my hair is too short for or weave that makes me look like a lion, and I will not be piling on the make-up to where I look like a drag queen....it ain't fair, and it ain't right......lol.

Re: Wedding Planner Rules

LOL Well I guess you cant be in my wedding. I have even went as far as typing up a contract and having my bridesmaids sign it. And trust me when I say it exceeds bridal party responsibilities.

But if you tell them and they agree, and sign....then they are bound to it....I would honor any contract i sign....but if you tell me one thing, and I come up and there are 30-different things I have to do later....then that isn't fair.....So at least you are giving them a fair heads up!!!! And I can respect thatSmile

Re: Wedding Planner Rules

New Rule:

If you have your cake delivered, DO NOT ask your "friend"(non-professional) to deliver that thing....
If not, you are risking having your cake do the.."Lean wit it, Rock wit it!...Lean wit it, rock wit it!"

$40.00 extra for the pros to do it is worth it....trust me!

Re: Wedding Planner Rules

New Rule:

If you are not used to wearing make-up, don't have a "pro" pile it on to where your almost DH thinks SOMEONE ELSE is walking to him down the aisle...Be subtle, so he can recognize you....Your wedding day is not the time to experiment with a brand new GLAMOUR/CLOWN look!

I just wanted to put the thing on out there....I've seen it happen!

Same goes for "trendy" Hairdo's

Re: Wedding Planner Rules

oh yes ma'am! Definitely need a back-up!

And another thing, Please please please stop trying to be like the girls on Platinum Weddings when really, you are secretly jealous and hating on them....Your family is not rich, but you driving everybody crazy with wanting to see your unrealistic, expensive "vision"...after all that, you are 30K in debt after the wedding.....Can you say: Mess?!
