Having a Valentine's Day Wedding!!!

Hello sisters,

To say that I'm excited doesn't even begin to cover how I feel and of course, to God be the glory!!! Always, but, in keeping with my Valentine's Day Theme, I'm looking for ideas. As a planner, I've never done a Valentine's Day Wedding and wouldn't sincerely know where to begin. I welcome my sisters' inputs in everything. Please keep in mind that my colors are Daphne Rose, Merlot, Gold and Champagne.

This is what I have so far:

Wedding Dress ~ http://www.marysbridal.com/bridal/5768.htm

Bridesmaids Dress ~ Please keep in mind the color of the dress is the same accent colors for my wedding.

I thought this would be nice with a little less flowers.

Re: Having a Valentine's Day Wedding!!!

Keeping along with your theme, maybe your ushers can give a rose to each female guest as they enter ceremony. Favors could be a nice Daphne Rose colored votive inside of a nice square glass candle holder, wrapped in either merlot of champagne colored ribbons.

Re: Having a Valentine's Day Wedding!!!

My Super Diva sister Pamcrow, were you envisioning something like this perhaps?

This would be my 3rd centerpiece with a Ribbon in the center of the vase ( color of ribbon would alternate Daphne Rose, Merlot, Champagne and Gold) What do you think Super Diva!!!

Re: Having a Valentine's Day Wedding!!!

Those are nice. Very romantic but I like the centerpiece you posted earlier better. The one with the flowers, candle & hurricane shade. I was actually talking about favor ideas. The square candle holder could have the ribbons tied around it making it look like a wrapped present. If I find a pic of what I'm talking about I'll post it.

Very nice Ginoue! And congratulations on your Valentine's Day wedding!! I absolutely love your colors. I really like the idea of having 4 different centerpieces too. I haven't seen that one done before, so I can't wait to see the pics!

Re: Having a Valentine's Day Wedding!!!

Thanks a million Tiffy. I am planning on alternating centerpieces/table, which means that I would have to have 6 of each centerpiece in order to carry my vision. I wanted something different on each table. I didn't want a uniform centerpiece, not that there's anything wrong with that. Don't worry sister, upon returning from the honeymoon, I'll be posting pictures because my girls all have cameras so I don't have to wait until the photographer's pictures to post.

Re: Having a Valentine's Day Wedding!!!

Okay I'm on a little roll here:

How are these for favors or instead of cake? OR on a cupcake tree they'd be nice centerpieces....

These centerpeices just screams romance and love...

I fell in love with this Candy Station

Who needs and Aisle Runner when you can walk down this aisle?!?!

Grapefruit Martinis are actually quite tasty! Maybe as a signature drink?

I like this bouquet b/c its not saturated with pink....The golds and merlots can balance it outSmile

How about a prikly pear margarita as a signature drink?

Okay I hope these pics help Ginoue

Re: Having a Valentine's Day Wedding!!!

Wow, Bumble, this is so magnificent. I like the idea of the pink Martini because I was looking for something pink because I already have a Merlot-colored martini. The prickly pear martini is so very awesome. Wait, is it my wedding day already? I'm ready to get my drink on!!!

I love that idea of scattered rose petals instead of the aisle runner. Unfortunately, I'm having an indoor ceremony at 6 PM, but oh Divas, don't it paint a dreamy picture. Imagine walking on rose petals.

Thank you so very much Bumble, for all of the wonderful ideas contributed. I may not use all, but I think I'm going to use the drinks, if you don't mind.

Girl do whatever you want! As long as you're happy....Ivy, I'll see what I can do....

The good thing about signature drinks is that they can be made in large quantities....Ginoue, do your clients do signature drinks a lot? If so, do they use a bartender or make a large amount and serve it like that?

Re: Having a Valentine's Day Wedding!!!

Bumble - once again, amazing ideas!! I love that idea of walking down the aisle of rose petals. As Ginoue already knows, I'm also having a Valentine's day wedding but I don't really like red. I need valentine's day themes to tie in with my caribbean themed wedding. I'm not sure the church will allow rose petals but I may ask. If not, I'll leave it for the blessing in St Lucia. But......brilliant idea Bumble!!

May need to bump my Themes page to get some more ideas from you ......
