Hello Ladies!!!!

Happy New Year to all.
I am new to Vibride and want to introduce myself. I will be getting married Oct. 18 of this year and i am going with a puzzle theme.(representing completion) Does anyone have any ideas on how i can carry this theme throughout the wedding? Thanks in advance.

Re: Puzzle Theme

Welcome Glendasguy,
Puzzle theme.. hmm that's a tough one.. what about using a particular picture of the two of you and having it made into a large or small puzzle and somehow incorporating it into the reception or wedding by having each guest select a piece of the puzzle(a random piece) and having it placed in its place in the puzzle on the table.. By the end of the night the puzzle should be complete.. Maybe have you and Fh place the first and last two pieces of the puzzle..
Just a thought .. I'll keep thinking. Smile

Re: Puzzle Theme

If you search online I have seen puzzle peice ornaments or favors, I'll see if I can find them. I have also seen websites where you can create puzzle invitations. That would be cute if you had a smaller guestlist.

Re: Puzzle Theme

Welcome Glenda. We have a Vibride sista doing puzzles for wedding favors, you might want to think about doing that as well. Here are a few other ideas:
1. You could use giant puzzle pieces for placecards.
2. Your flower girl could drop puzzle pieces mixed with petals.
3. You could paint puzzle pieces in your color scheme and scatter on reception tables.
4. You and FH could take a picture together completing a puzzle and use the image on the cover of your programs with a caption like "we found the missing piece".
5. Have the pastor speak on the significance of puzzle theme during the ceremony. Or include it in your wedding program.
6. Incorporate verses from the song "Puzzle of my Heart" by WESTLIFE

"Puzzle of My Heart" -lyrics

It's the way she fills my senses
It's the perfume that she wears
I feel I'm losing my defences
To the colour of her hair

And every little piece of her is right
Just thinking about her
Takes me through the night

[Chorus]

Every time we meet
The picture is complete
Every time we touch
The feeling is too much
She's all I ever need
To fall in love again

I knew it from the very start
She's the puzzle of my heart
It's the way she's always smiling
That makes me think she never cries
I feel I'm losing my defences
To the colour of her eyes

And every little piece of her is right

[Chorus]

Like a miracle she's meant to be
She became the light inside of me

And I can feel her like a memory
From long... ago

[Chorus]

Every time we meet
The picture is complete
Every time we touch
The feeling is too much

Every time we meet
The picture is complete
Every time we touch
The feeling is too much

She's all I ever need
To fall in love again
I knew it from the very start
She's the puzzle of my heart

This is really a fun theme and I hope you have fun planning it. I had fun just that brief moment coming up with those ideas. Hope they help. Happy Planning.

Re: Puzzle Theme

Great ideas ladies!

I am greedy, so I think of treats like cookies, cakes, and candy shaped like puzzle pieces. I posted some chocolate puzzle piecies under the "Favors" Post for House that I thought were cute...and yummy looking too.

Also, look for/Create themes Like: " The perfect fit" and "Pieces of My Heart" to help get your wheels turning.
