Couples Shower

Ladies, my wedding party is hosting a couples (co-ed) shower for us and we decided on the theme "The Perfect Pair" I'm trying to find some decorations, invitations and so forth but haven't been successful as of yet. We are going to play off of the "pear" and deocarate accordingly. However, because it's a co-ed shower, I don't want everything to be so girly. Any suggestions???

Re: Couples Shower

Have you thought about doing a card theme using the king and queen of hearts or a pair of aces. You could have fun with this and the guys would love it. Favors could be a deck of cards. Just a idea.

Re: Couples Shower

Not shooting the pears down ...bc I do like that, however I think the cards idea is neat, and alot less popular!

Good one Pam .. Smile

Re: Couples Shower

I'm feeling the cards thing definately. The pears are cute though, they have a lot of stuff for that (favors, etc.) I've seen a lot of that online.

Re: Couples Shower

One of my bridesmaids had a co-ed shower with the same theme. Thier wedding colors was pink and white, so they gave out pears and the pears was covered with pink and white chocolate. They was wrapped in clear plastic and the tag had a picture of them and it said the perfect pear. It was really nice.

Re: Couples Shower

I like both the pears and the card Idea.
I think its all in how you decide to hook everything up

For instance with the cards:
You could focus on the king and queen of hearts
You could have a cake made with those 2 cards printed on the front
If you plan on using ballons...I would use red white and back..wiht a little silver.
I would also have my food table set up with a open hand of cards spread at the corner of each table. (I would probably tape the spread together to hold it in place)

With the pears:
you could do some type of dessert with pears. Make your invitations pear shaped. Use pear green as one of your colors.

Re: Couples Shower

Now if you are using the king and queen of hearts theme, my I suggest your favors being playing cards with you and your fh picture, name, and wedding date on them.
