DIY Centerpieces
I plan on doing tall centerpieces with flowers and a low centerpieces with candles.
I just completed my mock up of the tall one
Its going to be ivory oriental lillies with 2 green calla lil. and greenery.
Heres my first mock up. I didnt have any curly willow so I used salt branches which are not as tall and wild as curly willow. I kind of like how it turned out ...I just cant wait to see it with the tall branches
Heres the low candle centerpiece.
It will be surrounded by a lot of votives

Re: DIY Centerpieces
Thanks ladies...
Pamcrow...I was thinking the same thing. Im going to add the same marbles that are in the vase....onto the charger plate that the large candle is on. I may also criss cross 2 calla lil. as well.
I'll play around with it a little more.

Re: DIY Centerpieces
2bmrspotts, try removing the orange & green berries from inside the candle holder. Since the eye is drawn to the white lilly's in your tall centerpiece, maybe place three white lillies on the charger with a little of the same foliage from the tall centerpiece. I think that would help bring the look together nicely.

Re: DIY Centerpieces
Sensationablyhappy ~ I plan on having 5 centerpieces made like #1
Ok Divas, here's the plan so far for centerpieces for the reception hall:
I want 5 of Centerpiece #1, 5 of Centerpiece #2, 4 of Centerpiece #3 and I've yet to pick Centerpiece #4 but I want 4 of it as well. Which will give me a total of 18 centerpieces. That's the vision I'm trying to create because we theme is "Classic Elegance". I want the room to look very fancy and romantic. I plan on having the lights in the reception hall dimmed a little, leaving just enough light for the photographers and videographers to do their thing, but I want the room to be very romantic. That's what I'm going for with the votive candles at the base of the floral arrangements. So what do you Divas think?

Re: DIY Centerpieces
They are $19.95 each. These were some of the only items I was able to ship directly to St. Thomas. I bought some $3.00 small ivy garlands from Wal-Mart to wrap around the stand, added candles, and preserved orchids, and I also added acryilic "ice" and preserved rose petals to the tables. Very easy and inexpensive compared to the centerpieces we could have purchased from the hotel. It worked fabulously with the chandeliers in the room.
