CD Favors
My wedding is getting close, but I still need one more piece of advice. Are most of you doing CD favors? I was originally, but then I started thinking that I really didn't see the point. For favors I'm having a chocolate and pink candy station with pink paper cones, and I have chocolate and pink gift boxes with personalized tea in them, and I have the pink and chocolate tea lights wrapped in 4 pieces of tulle each and sitting in a glass "holder" of sorts.
I mean do guests really need a CD of some random songs that me and FH like??? I'm not knocking anyone who does them, but can someone please explain to me the thought process behind doing them? I don't want to regret not doing them, so what do you think??? Thanks!!!

Re: CD Favors
When I got married I did the CD favors. Most of the music was gospel/inspirational. My hubby and I had gone through so much up until that point. The songs on the CD were carefully chosen songs that had significant meaning for us as a couple or songs that helped to get us (mostly me lol!!) through trying times. My intent also was for the songs to be a blessing to anyone who listened to our CD.
After the wedding was over, I had several guests comment on how one song or another really touched them. My sister-in-law actually played the CD during her ThanksGiving Day get-together.
So for me, the favor actually served it's purpose. Not only was the music significant to my hubby and I as a couple, it was also a blessing to many of our guests who actually played the CD afterwards.

Re: CD Favors
My cd's were a hit also...because they told our story...and just like some of the other ladies, it continues to make it's debut! LOL matter of fact it has been played at 2 other receptions since we got married because their dj didn't show..so trust me, they will definetly be useful to someone if you decide to go that route!
Good luck-and get to posting us some details!! your day is drawing near!!
