Mo's Blog

A few of you know me, I've been around for a while off and on.

Two years ago my marriage ended so I stayed away from the board, dropping in from time to time. I was and am truly happy for everyone here, but reading some of the post was like picking a scab, in the sense that it awakened memories. I took the time to heal and find my happiness again. I started dating again and ran into a couple of toads, thankfully, I'm wise enough to spot them before wasting precious time. Well after giving up on the dating scene and turning the whole thing over to God, my prince walked into my life as I was waiting for my bus after church one Sunday. I don't remember the last time I felt this kind of happiness. He asked me to marry him, and I said, yes.

Re: Mo's Blog

Hi Monique,

So how many guests will there be? What date have you selected? Details please. You know the drill. Surprised)Some couples are doing ostrich feathers or tall lamps these days, and they look very pretty.

Here's the ostrich feathers:

Re: Mo's Blog

Our colors are Blush, Ivory, Pure Jade, Ivory, and Silver.

The color blush represents immortality. Jade represents loyalty. Ivory represents quiet, pleasantness with a touch of luster. Silver represents wealth and accomplishment. Seafoam green represents optimism, good luck, freshness, fertility and suggests that things are getting better or healing.

I love candles, but the posibility of 50-60 tables, the heat would be out of control. So here's what I'm thinking of.

Re: Mo's Blog

That's my sister's birthday! 500 people! That is a lot of tables. Wow! The gowns are gorgeous. I love chiffon for bridesmaid dresses.... pink and green...very pretty...are you an A.K.A.? The LA bride used pink and green in her wedding on that last episode of "Whose Wedding Is It Anyway." I'm really digging the floating flowers. It would be so nice if you could use silks for those.

Well, Congratulations, Niquey! I'm the outdoor-sy type, so I really like Pier Sixty and Marina Del Rey. Love the BM dress & colors.

Love the strapless dresses you chose and the goddess look of the first dress. Reception dress is gorgeous especially with a hairstyle like the Mary J or Angela Bassett styles pictured. Can't wait to see more.

Re: Mo's Blog

Before I went to bed one evening, I sent out a simple request..Lord, I just want my life to mean something special to someone, other than my kids. Somewhere else at a revival, Isaiah had been told to write down exactly what he wanted God to bless him with.

I'm at the bus stop when this man walks out of the barbershop and asked if he could talk to me. I indulged him for a while, we had a really decent conversation, and he my me laugh. Nothing flirty, just small talk. I was actually waiting on a ride from my ex-sister-in-law, so I tried to hurry it along. He asked if he could give me his number I accepted it, then I gave him mine. He went back in the shop and called me while he was watching me from the window. We talked most of the night, and spent every free moment together since then. One night when he picked me up from work he told me he had prayed for me. I said,"oh, that's so sweet". Then he explained to me that before he met me he prayed and asked God for me, he even saw me in a dream. So when he looked up from the paper in the barbershop he had to run out before I left. I didn't think that was strange at all because I saw all three of my sons in dreams before they were conceived. As he talked I began to remember a dream I had. I could only see his profile at the alter, and then twin girls in a carriage. That part of my dream scared the beejeezus out of me, because each child I gave birth to I've seen in a dream. I closed my eyes so I could try to focus on what he was saying again. "Would you have another child"? Then he cocks his head to the side and says, "your body can handle twins. I'm a twin, my mothers' a twin, and one of my sisters has two sets of twins".....:faint:When I told my mother she said she had a dream that she had twin granddaughters, but wasn't sure which of her kid would have them. So again:faint:.

Hi Mo. We'll have to keep your brother in prayer. I have a cousin and her husband who were both stationed in Iraq at the same time (their kids had to stay with her sister and her parents), and now they're back here in the states safe and sound. God is good. I'm glad that he will be walking you down the aisle.

Re: Mo's Blog

Everything is coming along great. I went to the bead store to order the crystal for the BM's bouquets and the grooms men bouttoniers. If I start after the new year I'll have them done by the beginning of March. I'm going Wednesday to find the flowers for the flower girls pomanders and get the form for my topiaries. After May, I don't want to do anything but relax. I can't get the fabric for the flower girl dresses until the swatches come in from Belsoie. Ordered all my new catalogs, and set out to find my honeys' ring today. No luck on that, but I'm gonna hit the diamond district Wednesday too.

Go Mo, its your wedding. Show them haters/thiefs what you're capable of. I'm sure their event won't even get close to what God has ordained for you.

Having said that - I love how everything is coming together. Seems like you have it all in control. Best of everything

OK People...Charley's in the house. It aint no party like the original vibrides party....

Niquey - just remember your girl is a size 20...yeah that sounds kinda big but I put sexy in it. Love the dresses, of course I am not worried about everything else because I know you have it together. You know I will be there even if I gatta crash.

Hey Rony, Cinny, bubble....where the rest of my peps...hey newbies....yeah newbies cause I just reach back.

I am Charlotte, the original ladies on the site dubbed me "Charley"...I've been gone for about 2 years now but only Niquey with this amazing news can get me out of hibernation!.

Niquey!!!!!!.....
Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.

Hi Caribbean sis. Welcome back. I've read some of your old posts. You're hilarious.

Niquey, beautiful choices for markers and rings. Are those markers candle holders? I haven't seen them before.
