Double Wedding?
My husband teases me about my love of wedding shows and movies. There's one coming out on Jan. 9 called "Bride Wars" starring Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson, two best friends who get engaged on the same day. They both book New York's Plaza Hotel for their events but discover that the weddings are on the same date!
So, my question is, would any of the brides-to-be consider doing a double wedding if given the opportunity? Did any of the wives consider this option especially in this economy?
Please sound-off.

Re: Double Wedding?
Oh, that sounds beautiful, Lolo. Imagine two sisters so close they even wanted to share the most special day in their lives. I think that would have had to have been the scenario for me as well to do a double wedding. However, the opportunity didn't present itself.

Re: Double Wedding?
As for sharing a wedding day, I would hold a small ceremony at my parent's backyard before I cheap out and share things with another bride.

Re: Double Wedding?
Ditto to that... Nothing I mean not even keeping the budget low would encourage me to share that day.

Re: Double Wedding?
Without giving the story away, it was nice. It was more than just 2 women fighting over a wedding date, it was about their friendship.
DH was glad there wasn't male-bashing, and the "chick-fight" entertained him. Yes, shame on him.

ViPrincess Bride, your hubby is a jewel. I wanted to see that movie, but my hubby told me that he thought I should go with my daughter or girlfriends!

Four sisters, four weddings — in one year
http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/29083372/
These 4 sisters in a blended family from Annapolis, Maryland ALL got engaged last year, and they are all getting married this year. One got married in January. The other weddings are scheduled for May, June, and October. I guess they also said "heck no" to a double wedding.

LOL
I always wnated one. But none of my friends were even serious about anyone, much less at the weding stage. MY BFF and I always wanted to do ours together. We have the same tastes, etc. She was pretty upset that I got married ahead of her.
That girl is STILL single to this day. I would have been waiting over 15 years. lol

Re:Re: Double Wedding?
I believe that. I think I would definately marry with another couple if they were close to both me and my FH and vise versa. I know I would do it with my BF. We have very similar tastes and our idea for a wedding day was damn near identical. There would be some competition on who would rock the better dress though! lol
