Re: Newcomer
It's going to be very small, 20-25 family and friends. I'm not having bridesmaids, he's not having groomsmen. We weren't actually going to have the big ceremony right now. We were just going to do the justice of the peace thing in Memphis this month then do the big ceremony/reception in the summer in Chicago. But my family decided they wanted to come to the courthouse and witness it. So we just said what the heck. Then I found myself planning a wedding in 6 weeks!
Anyway, now I have a planner and its going well. I trust that she's going to hook it up for us. I'm excited, he's even more excited.

It sounds like a lot, but it can be done. It definitely sounds like you're in good shape. Re: David's Bridal, since you can check-out their designs online, which ones do you like? You can post their design numbers.

Re: Newcomer
My name is Tess and I am a bride-to-be for the 2nd Time (aka Ms. soon to be Mrs.). My wedding date is set for Sept 5, 2009 (Labor Day Weekend). Congrats to all the other new brides, soon to be brides, and brides soon to be celebrating their 1st anniversary. I welcome any and all suggestions or questions you may have. My wedding colors for my final trip down the aisle is ivory, chocolate(mocha), and champagne. So let the fun begin...

Re: Newcomer
Rings have been purchased, dresses for all ladies and lil lady have been purchased and received (FH is currently matching the tuxs), Wedding favors are all ready to put together, Playlist is ready to be given to DJ (FH is taking care of that), and Wedding and Reception Venues have been confirmed. So I guess now is where the real fun begins...
I need to work on Invitations, Programs, Flowers, Photographer/Videographer, and the Cake. actually we have a idea for our cake...we just have to find the right person to pull it off.

Re: Newcomer
Since this is my 2nd time around...I figured ivory/champagne would serve me better as oppose to white.

By the way, I was hoping to hear back from Dee Love on that lovely chocate board she posted. My FH and I have fell in love with one of the cakes and I would like to see an enlarged image on one of the bouquets.

I love the little Chocolate set up boxes. They are perfect for almonds or chocolates. Add self stick Ivory ribbon and it will make an elegant presentation.
You can get the chair tie backs in any color to match your theme. Use the rolls to decorate the chairs, head table or line the aisles.
Printed Napkins and Guest Towels are always a tasteful addition. They make really cool housewarming gifts too!
A truly classic favor is the simple Cake Candle. Practical and pretty.
