DIY:Tears of Joy Packets

Hi LadiesEven though I have a Wedding Planner I want to take on some projects that will add details and personality to our wedding day. So does anyone have pics of the tear packets and I also need very simple instructions. I'm not really that crafty but I would like to give this a try. Thanks in advance ladies!

Re:DIY:Tears of Joy Packets

Materials
12x12" cardstock sheets (you can make 4 packets per 1 sheet)
super glue for paper
bone folder
1/4" thick wire-edge ribbon
8.5" x 11" paper of choice

Step 1:  Use 12x12 cardstock.  Cut the
paper in quarters, so you have 4 pieces of 6x6 paper.  Then cut it
according to the measurements below.
Step 2: Fold according to #1 in the picture below.  You should be
folding about 1/2" of "flaps" inward.  Unfold them, and proceed to fold
step #2 upward.  Keep this folded upward.

Step 3: Fold according to #3 in the pic below.. then fold in all the
"flaps" inwards.  If you desire to have ribbon on the front, punch
those holes first, then put your ribbon on.  Also, you can cut off the
"flap" that shows at the top of the packet. Then fold the flaps inward
and glue (I used super glue that works for paper, make sure the label
for the glue says paper).  This is to seal the packet, and you can
place anything on the front, and place the tissues inside.

To use the 1/4" ribbon, loop it through the holes on the front, and
tie a bow (optional).  For the front "For your tears of joy" label, you can use Microsoft Word to create the template, print them onto your
8.5" x 11" paper or label paper of choice, cut them to the correct size, attached them to
the champagne cardstock with double-sided tape, and attached that whole
thing to the packet with double-sided tape.  Insert the 3
tissues per packet and you will have an elegant way to blot those sweet tears of joy.

You can make these bigger by doubling the size to 8 x 8 instead. This will only give you one packet per sheet of paper, but would make for a pretty presentation!

What a fantastic idea! I've never even heard of these before! I would think maybe just the ladies would get them ? I know my dad is gonna cry too ..... but I'm sure my mom will share.
Thanks for the idea!

Re:No subject

You can make enough for all your guest or you can just make enough for jus only the womenon your guestlist.
I had 300 guest and I only made 150 tear packets they were a hit and definitely went to use. My hostesses passed them out sporadiclly with the programs at the beginning of the ceremony.
