Hi ladies ...new to board

 Hello to everyone. I m new to the board and would like to way i have really seen some nice ideas on here. I recently got engaged and am thinking about planning the big day for 2010.. I currently wanted to know if you ladies think it is too soon to come up with ideas for colors and themes?? I really could use some advice... I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions for a September wedding. I am clueless as to what theme I want but i am thinking about using the colors red,white,and black. I would like to tie all the colors in together with maybe some silver...Does anyone have any great color ideas or pics of colors together? I am  considering the above colors but i am still up in the air with it...any suggestions or other combos of colors would be helpful. Thanks

I especially love the cupcake wedding cake. SO beautiful! The tabletop design is just spectacular as well. Jaw dropping to be sure.

Black and white is simply stunning. Add any color, no matter how subtle,  and it just screams sophistication.

Rosie, those are some beautiful pictures.
Welcome to the site ndavis. It is never too early to start planning. I too am a 2010 bride and have been planning for many years. You don't have to have a theme, that's a personal choice, it just helps you to set the tone for the wedding. You have started wonderfully with choosing your colors. I am using the Red and silver, so we have that in common also. I look forward to seeing your plans unfold.

My wedding colors are purple and silver so I can tell you it will be beautiful. Red is pretty also. We are doing all accessories, engraving, monograming in silver. The bridesmaids will be in deep purple and of course decorations in purple, which is my favorite color.
It's not too early to plan. You can use this time to look at venues and find out cost and down payments so you can save up ahead. Go to some bridal shows for ideasd too. I got engaged on New Years and the wedding is in July so we are paying all the deposits now! If I had more time, it would be better.

These three remain; faith, hope and love, but the greatest of these is love. Cor

Wow so those colors do go good together. I see i am not the only one who thinks this way. I just feel that red is used alot and i wanted something different. I just hope all my girls look good in purple...I was thinking about having my Maid and Matron of honor wear silver dresses and everyone else in purple....DK. what do u think? I am so anxious and ready to see it all come together...Smile

welcome ndavis....
i think, or should I say, I know the purple and silver will definetly look pretty. I used lavender and silver and it was absolutely beautiful. BUT, purple is my favorite color so I would be the one to say that. LOL

Re:Re:Re::Hi ladies ...new to board

purple is my favorite color. I just love the inspiration boards. I wonder if I could get "fine" china at my reception. I would love that elegant touch to my wedding.
So Blessed to be in love and to be loved back.

Re:Re:Re:Re::Hi ladies ...new to board

As a Wedding Planner, I can guarrantee you that you could have fine china at your wedding.  However, do you really want the added expense?  It will be expensive to request as your wedding planner would have to either have them on hand to lend to you or rent them from a supply store.  Either way, ask yourself if you truly want the added expense.
That being said, there are so many great dishes that would give you the look of fine china without the added expense.  Speak with your planner about it or I could suggest a few.  Let me know and welcome on Board sister Diva
