Updated : H Town Brides Wedding
The wedding is August 1, 2009. My colors are chocolate, sage, and accents of gold. The gold will be on the silverware, chargers, matron of honor dress, grandparents attire and etc.
It will begin at 6
My wedding dress(It's back already and I will snap a few shots in it when I go to get it altered.)

The Back
The Shoes by Nina Shoes
The Matron of Honor Dress
The actual gold is a little lighter than pictured(the internet color patterns can fool you) I requested that the designer mail me a sample to the dress store.
Maid of Honor Dresses (I have two, my line sister and my middle school best friend. This was a challenge because neither really wanted to share the position. Word of advice if you have two, assign each one a task such as the bridal shower and bachlorette party.)
Bridesmaid dresses (There are six of them.)
I orderd the bow in gold but I think I'm going to have them not wear it. Tell me whether you guys think I should take the bow off or leave it. Remember it won't be in white.
I don't have a picture of the flower girl dress yet, I found it at a local children's boutique dirt cheap. I get a pic soon.
Jr. Bride's dress will be finished next week. I had a boutique custom make it to look identical to my dress because the junior bride is my ten year old daughter. So keep your fingers crossed that it comes out great. I've really made it a point to make her feel like this wedding is about her as well.
The venue for the big day August 1, 2009 at 6:00p.m. (By the way I'm putting five on the invitiations, because it's kind of far out and I want to allow enough time for any mishaps.) The ceremony and reception will both be here. They have several different rooms on the ranch.
Texas Safari Ranch
The ceremony and reception will be in this room.
I hired a decorator to make the stage look similar with lights and water tubes. I also renting waterfalls for the aisles. These lights can be rented for ten bucks at party stores as well. You can but plastic dividers that go in binders on the light to make it shine whatever color you want.
After the ceremony the guests will exit and go into this room for the cocktail hour while the room is being transformed. I had been worried about it being done in an hour but the tables will be decorated the day before and hid behind pipe draping. Most venues have pipe drapping just ask.
Here are the floral decorations. I found a lady that is a fellow teacher that does floral part time and she was really cheap. People that don't have a store front are usually cheaper. I love real flowers but didn't want to go broke so I found a couple of small arrangements that still look pretty.
Ten tables will have this arrangement (the tall one in the middle of the pic) I found jewels to hang off the branches at the dollar store during Christmas time, but I'm a few short so I'm not sure if I will use them yet.
The other ten tables will have these, to cut down on costs. Curly willow branches are a great way to cut down on floral costs.
My bouquet will be like this picture, but I changed a few flowers to cut on costs.
I ordered twenty of these from save on craft.com to light the vases.
I also ordered these from save on crafts .com to go at the top of the second floral arrangement.
I ordered these sparklers for our exit from skylighter.com, they were $96.00. That's the cheapest I've found.
On our wedding website I gave guets a couple of options for gift giving. I already have a house of my own and I'm trying to de-clutter to make room for my FH. Because of this we really don't need more stuff, so I told them that there will be a wishing well at the wedding. Also I have a cousin that does pampered chef and I would like new pots and pans so I did that as well. Lastly we really didn't know if we were going on a honeymoon at first but after all this planning for a year we caught a Sandals vacation to Jamaica on sale. We payed half down and did a honeymoon registry on through the weddingchannel.com so guests can pay on the balance. Most of the people our age opt for online options and wishing wells. There are other people that just can't understand why we don't have a store registry so I may end up adding one.
Here is a neat box I found to use as a wishing well.
I believe the website is theperfectpicturebox.com
For favors I am doing the chocolate and sage matches from the knot.com, cd's from catskill.com, and miniature wine bottles. I ordered the wine bottles from spec.com and labels from wrappersandmore.com. I am also doing the candy buffet. I went to local stores like Ross and Marshalls to find different size jars and vases. I ordered green candy from blaircandy.com and bulkfoods.com. I will upload pics of these soon. Invitations are being ordered on Wednesday. Pray for me ladies ladies my head is spinning.

Your venue is really nice. I had my September wedding at the Villa Ballrooms in H-Town.

Mens attire
The groomsmen will be wearing chocolate vest and ties like the bridesmaids.
The grandfathers are wearing gold vest to match the grandmothers dresses.
I'm not sure about the fathers yet, I put them down for gold Im almost sure I'll be changing that to Ivory. I need my dads tux to go with my dress as well.
The groom will wear a black tux and Ivory vest and ascott, the junior groom will also have on the same as the groom.
Ring bearer is wearing a chocolate vest and tie.

As I think I stated before, I have a ten year old daughter from a previous relationship. It's just been she and I all these years, so I know this wedding is going to bring about a big change for her. I am trying as much as possible to include her in every aspect of this wedding. So far she suggested the candy buffet, which we are doing. The other day I Just happened to pass by one of her favorite places (Marble Slab) and I noticed that they do catering. I called them and luckily that have catered a wedding at my same venue. Has anyone ever been to an event that they catered, I hope it goes smoothly. I'm going to surprise her and my FH with it at the reception, they are both big ice cream fans.
