Re:Jumping the Broom

You should try stores like Micheals, Joanne's Or any Major craft store in your area. These brooms vary in quality, but that is also part of their charm! Have fun designing your broom.

Welcome to ViBride Klasy
Try asking your local craft stores. I'm sure they can order them for you if they dont have them in stock.

Re:Jumping the Broom

The brooms  they sell at Micheals and those other large chains are only 32".  I didn't have any luck finding longer brooms myself.
You just might have to purchase a bare broom online. They have a 36" here for $17.

Re:Jumping the Broom

Thank you all so much.  I did try Michaels, their brooms were more like some dry dead grass.  They actually called it dry pine.  I was 1.99 and it was hideous to say the least.  JoAnn Crafts put on like they didnt know what I was referring to.
I finally found two different types that are really close to the undecorated broom Stuartscreations.com sells.  I found them at a Phillipino Seafood Market in Cerritos/ Artesia area.  I purchased two different types and they cost 3.99 and 2.99 and they are about 32".
My only dislike is the color of the handle but i've decided if the ribbon doesn't hide the color I will first try floral ribbon.  If that doesnt work I will spray paint the handle white.
Yes I am on a mission! LOL
Thank you all for your input and I will post pictures after its done.

You found it at a Phillipino Seafood Market!??? Very Happy Who wudda thunk? You better do your thing, girl! That is what I call shopping around. Don't forget to show us your finished product if you have time. Lots of girls want to make their own broom.

Try
Michaels-Moskatels & Crafts
733 San Julian St
Los Angeles, CA 90014
It used to be Moskatels before Michaels bought it.  I made frequent trips down there when I was planning my wedding.  They have so much more than then the average Michaels and they sell the same things wholesale and you have access to the same pricing.  I know it's a hike downtown but that's the joy of living in a big city you have access to all the bargins.  Don't forget to visit the back area where they have all the lighting displays, dried flowers and linen.  Also don't forget about the flower mart downtown.  We spent $200.00 on roses, orchids and black birds of paradise.  The florist quoted us $1200.00.  You'll be hooked!
