Look at the altar. I wonder if I can get one like it. That's a lot of flowers and must be crazy expensive.

I would use ribbon as filler rather than make it all floral.

 
 

This was my dream alter during my wedding planning:

It would have been inexpensive and still "framed" us nicely. Large green paper lanterns are sold all the time for cheap at Ebay, the venue had an arch, and I would have borrowed the ferns from a relative. The only thing I would have spent the most money on was having a platform, which would have run us about $200 from my rental place. Unfortunately, we were running out of time. We didn't even bother having the venue pull out their sad arch from their attic, so we stood next to nothing.

No I didn't, Girl! I think I need to go out and get me some vaseline too! Lol. Her parents seemd OLDER than I thought, but they lost a child and things get rough on a person when that happens.
I am feelin' the ribbon. Like a fantasy. It seems to create a surreal space. It is so pretty.
