I cringe whenever I see wedding colors consisting of just one primary color and bright white.
In fact, I'm not a fan of bright white in weddings.

The blues below Rosie are actually nice. I don't know if I would pair them with yellow, but even that is nice.

Re:Ugly Wedding Colors
I can't think of many colors that I would consider ugly for a wedidng. I think a bride can take colors and with skill mix and match them beautifully. However, I did work a wedding once where the couple selected plain hunter green tablecloths. It really stuck out and I couldn't imagine what would posess them to choose such a color. All the tables looked like pool tables! Yikes! It wasn't even Christmas!
Light colors like peach, lavendar, pink, pale yellow, pale blue, sage are not going to go away when it comes to weddings either. They will always be loved for their softness. However, how they are put together is key.
Red and white are a classic pairing so I don't think those are going away. With some effort, there are ways to make them less boring. I don't care for the royal blue and white either.
What makes me cringe is seeing all the men dressed in stark white suits/tuxedos, white shoes, and colored vests and ties. It reminds me of prom, not my prom though. The guys were better-dressed at my prom.

LOL Love that the guys were better dresed at your prom! I am not a fan of a white suit on dark skin. They can make his face bleed out in photos, especially if there is a dark background. I had to include this choice no-no just for you VIPrincess.

OK. I normally think these colors are great and so I went hunting to prove you wrong. Only I discovered that I HATE these colors for a wedding too.
It's all about tonality an hue. A pale blue and the sandy beige would be beautiful or torquoise and ivoryor even a cream shade would have a cool beachy feel. Beige id too dark and heavy.
The whole thing is a little unfortunate when the colors are off. Below are the same colors with the right hue:

Yeah, for turquoise and beige, I was also thinking sea and sand. That's the only theme for which I would use those colors. The bottom set of photos with the beach theme is classy, casual, and modern. The top ones look bleh.
