Heeeeeey
Well, I have found out that 2 of my BM's are now pregnant!!!!!!
When I found out about the news I was like OMG....but Congrats!!! and I just politely told them that they will not be apart of the wedding but they can participate in all the pre-wedding events.
One of the girls thats preggo is my cousin on my side and she is okay with it because she knows my personality, how I am and we are just close. But the other girl is my FI's cousin and she dosn't understand why she cant still be a BM in the wedding. Last night she just kept calling trying to come up with other alternatives but I just cant see it happening... On my wedding day she will be about 6months....and with the dresses that I picked for the girls..a preggo belly will not be flattering.
Am I being to hard or insensitive about the situation??
Thanks ladies for your help!

I don't think you are being insensitive. I would have definitely done the same thing. Maybe it's a Capricorn thing. But anyway it your weddung "your day your way" she may not understand it right now but she has 5 months to get over it.

SweetP, I understand your feelings. If you change your mind and they haven't purchased their dresses as yet, they can get chiffon dresses with an empire waist. This is very flattering style for pregnant women as well as nonpregnant women. There is always a way around a difficult situation.

Uh oh!! LOL- okay it depends on how close you are to these women, for example..if it it was my sister she would have to be in ICU for her to lose her place in my bridal party lol- But from what I understand you have a pretty large number of bridesmaids so there might be varying degrees of inseperability. For me, its not about looking good (solely) but also about sharing that experience with my girls. If its just another friend, yes they will understand, if its you best friend of all time who has had your back then yeah no...I wouldnt be able to let her go. I agree with VIPrincess Bride..they do make some really flattering bridemaids dresses for pregnant ladies, I am also a little biased because I adore pregnant women (to me its so beautiful)- wait maybe another reason NOT to have them...they might steal the lime light.
I understand your feeling on this very sensitive issue, however, I'm with VIPrincessbride on this one. She'll only be 5 - 6 months pregnant by your wedding day and with an Empire waist, it will really be flattering to a pregnant person and to top that this person is your FH's cousin, very sensitive indeed.
Yet, it's still your wedding, you should pretty much have it your way and if you don't want pregnant women in your bridal party, you shouldn't but, it makes for a very sticky situation.
Thanks ladies for your honest opinions...You are sooo helpful! I do plan to seek other options or alternatives to help make a wise decision for myself and our relationship (w/ FI's cousin).
Being pregnant is a beautiful thing and I am happy for.I will be apologizing asap. I would not want her feelings to be hurt on the behalf of me. I am not at all a rude/shallow person soo reading all the comments is really helping me with this situation. Thanks again ladies.

LOL, as the resident preggo, I say your day, your way! I wouldnt mind if I couldnt be in a person's wedding because of my situation although I wouldnt kick a girl out for being pregnant. The people who want you to shine are willing to be selfless for you. No one has the right to try to convince you that she should have a place in your wedding. Perhaps offer to let them read a poem or something. But honestly, if you picture a set of slim waisted BM's in killer heels than do your thing girl. LOL

I saw your bridesmaid dress on your blog.
This dress can easily be altered for a pregnant woman. I would just save the drama and keep her. I'm sure she would still be beautiful.
