black & white is always a chic classy combination. I was originally going to go with black & white but I had a friend that got narried last yr and that was her colors
I didnt understand why they had a mirrored dance floor. People could look under your dress.

I've seen these before and I just have a few issues. Disclaimer: These pics get a little EXTRA scrutiny because of the $$ factor!
Why weren't the chair covers ironed?
The caption said 5 BM and 4 GM - I only see 3 GM.
Her wedding dress looks too big. I was 7 months preg at my MOH wedding and the (similar style)dress did not look that huge. Alterations anyone?
The cake is gorgeous and I like her reception dress - just thought she was going to have a wardrobe malfunction!

For real!! Thats what it was- the dress does just look too big!! She obviously didnt have any alterations it looked like she had borrowed someone else's dress. I mean she probably had Vera Wang and the gang hook her up- maybe it was a rush job??Oh well- okay the seat covers etc werent ironed- but that gold white combo is cute isnt it?? I guess with the dress and everything you would have expected it to be a little more put together...what with Usher always looking on point.
Maybe the dress got wrinkled and a little messed up from when they were supposed to get married in the Hamptons. I think they cancelled the wedding right before it was supposed to start so she was probably dressed already. Between sitting around in it for that ceremony, taking it off and transporting to Atlanta, then going through it all again for this ceremony - it just didn't hold up well. But once again, with the $$ factor, this should have all been taken care of!
I was just about to say that. Usher has enough money for thousands of dress. He has access to wedding coordinators to the stars. He has access to the best of any and everything.

The only thing I have to say is "Who was her coordinator?" Usher has enough money for the coordinator to hire someone to either iron them or to dry clean them quickly and her dress, they would've have been able to find someone at anytime for spur of the moment alterations, come on, really!!
I guess what really matters is he stood up to the plate and did the right thing by marring his childs mother. After all is said and done that is the most important thing.

Thats true House, its good he did step up....But in a rush to get things done, I guess it looked "put together".
However, I have a friend who is a minister (26 y.o) and she got pregnant, and my Pastor being old 'fashioned told them to do the right thing-right now...so they planned a wedding in two weeks. Now being that they both are young, and have very little money, I was so surprised at how beautiful everthing looked. You'd swear they had been planning for months...The only bad thing was that their cake deliverer didn't put it together well so it had a little lean to it, but I mean, that wedding was "flawless". From the wedding party, the execution of the ceremony and reception, AND everyone's outfits. Her wedding was 1 week after my brothers, and even they had more "issues". So I guess I'm trying to say that if you're going to do it do it right....Especially despite the circumstances. She was actually about 3 months pregnant, but not showing, so her dress was very fitted to her body-so knowing what I knew of her condition, I was just floored at how beautiful she looked, and how you just couldn't tell....And being a close friend, only a hand-ful of us really knew her situation. Her dress was made by a friend of our church family, and it fit her perfectly. Of course for free........so like I said, with all that money, those flaws shouldn't be sticking out....However I do think they may have had even less than a couple of weeks to plan (Usher and Tameka). So with the delays, and problems, and postponements went on, I think they got it all together in less than a week or so....
She should not have Borrowed a dress, because we all know it takes WEEKS to alter a wedding dress to get a true fit, and even more so for someone with a growing belly. But, when you put it all together in a NY minute, what can you expect? Nevertheless. You can tell some thought was put into it, and the overall look was pretty....Loving the mirrored dance floor. And you know how the rish are, practicality is NOT the rule....so they often do things JUST "CAUSE THEY CAN."
We've been Happily Married 2 Years and Counting:)

Thats i story is so sweet Bumblebee- i guess it goes to show that with God all things are possible! And yeah Usher did do the right thing- I know he did it in the face of a lot of adversity. I have a long way to go with my planning but its already overwhelming- I am going to just start looking at ideas but not doing anything yet- otherwise I will go nuts!! I guess I am just going to have faith.
The planning process can be very consuming. You have great moments when you are excited, angry, happy, days you wish you would have eloped, days you just can't wait until this mess is over, and days it all pays off and you are happy everything came out just how you envisioned.

Well, I think the wedding was beautiful considering the time span & all... But it didn't look like a celebrity wedding to me. I mean I sure it was far from cheap but it looked like an average person could have had the same wedding with no problem after saving for a year or so.
Hey Dreamgurl - nice to have another Londoner on the boards!! I'm also still in the early planning stages but it's so much fun! Both me an FH have turned into computer geeks looking up things on the computer for the wedding all the time....
Forgot to say - in relation to Usher and Tameka's wedding, I must admith that they both looked good on the day and they look like they enjoyed it, which I guess is the most important thing!
Although the dress is a bit too big, I'm loving that veil!!
