OMG..this is supossed to be a happy day and you got me crying at work. A few people have asked me this morning how it feels to be 30. They said that they were depressed when they turned 30. In no way am I depressed. I am so happy and blessed this day. A lot of people don't make it to 30. I am a healthy, beautiful woman with a roof over my head, a new car to travel in, a good job to pay the bills and am surrounded by a great deal of family and friends who love me. Who could ask for more? I know where my blessings come from, and I thank GOD everyday for them. You all have have touched my life in the few months that I've known you in some way. I share stories from with site with FH all the time. This site is like no other ( I've tried others). We found each other for a reason. Trease, I mean "Askalot", I have friends that I've known for years, and I feel closer to you than I do with some of them. I can feel when someone is real or fake and I can truly say that you have become my "friend". Thank you so much for the birthday wishes!

Happy B-Day Bossie! I am so blessed to have found this site as well. I have met some awesome sisters and have learned a lot about myself and weddings. May God continue to bless you abundantly!

Again let me say Happy Bithday Bossy ! I hope you enjoy your "dirty thirty" as my mom would say. Go out and have the time of your life gyrl. I used the term "dirty thirty" because my mom says that is the height of your life, thats when you "explore your wild side". She throws big parties for the bithday person and uses colored condoms on the walls as balloons... growing up it was wierd walking into my house with condoms on the walls....LOL.....All the decoration was "adult" things, my mom would hang "condom streamers" everywhere(the way we would normally decorate a childs party with streamer). Every party would be a little different but everyone seemed to have a great time. Since most of these parties were at my house I saw the setup but I was too young to attend, we always had to stay ay my granny's house on party night. My mom told me she's decorating my bachelorette party that way since my "dirty thirty" birthday is 8 years away.I dont know how excited I am about that but I think it could be interesting..........hmmmm something to think about!

LOL...condom streamers. Allies mother made streamers out of condoms to decorate for a party whnever someone turned 30....it's the "dirty thirty".......watch out now!!!!...LOL

Happy B-day! I am 30 and it only gets better from here! It turned 30 Aug.17th and celebrated for an entire week with my girls! My life truly made a turn for the better as soon as I turned 30 and i feel so blessed that God gave me everything I wanted when I was mature enough to handle it all. I also feel like I have true friends in this sistahood even though I have never met you guys. I talk to you all and share more with you than I do with any one else. My FH told me last night that I stay my laptop on this website more than I do with him.

Well Charly I am there now (40) and I am luvin it!!!!!!!!!

I cried because I felt my life was falling apart - Remember I told ya'll about the drama of the first marriage (job/house/abuse etc etc etc....it was a very emotional time for me and I went thru it alone so that couple with turning the big 3-0 almost gave me a nervous break down....But Thank God for Jesus.....

I hear life gets better after 40...I got some more years before there but I am anticipating it and trustig God to bless me tremendously.

Thank God for Jesus is right! I am glad that he brought you through that life changing experience. Charly by the time you reach 40, I hear that there will be a party going on!

I LOVE that custom! I think I will get t hat started in my family. Congrats again Bossie. I am glad you are blessed with a friend like Askalot.

It would be very interesting to see condom streamers. Prior to AllieS post, I never heard of that before.
