FH really didn't want to do a bridal registry. But I told him that it is only proper. He finally gave in. How many places should we register at? He thought that Macy's and his favorite store Bed, Bath & Beyond. I'm curious to know where are you ladies registered?

I know most people register at 2 places and that is fine...gives your guest a choice especially if the places vary in prices...but I don't think there is a limit to the amount of places you should be registered at...or at least I am not sure.
Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.
Thanks Charly. I think 2 places will be it.

So far, I only registered at one - my favorite store - Macy's. But, I know I will also register and my other favorite store - Walmart! :-) I may have 3 registries though - not sure of where it would be.
Now Askalot, I never even considered Walmart. I absolutely love that store!!! I will stay with the two we chose though Macy's and Bed, Bath and Beyond.

I love it too - although it may sound tacky for a wedding registry. I will probably register for electronics and household items from there and linens and tableware from Macy's.
Girl aint nothing tacky about Walmart...that is the Bahamian shoppers haven - an absolutely must shop when we go to the states...I love that place and the quality is off the hook---me likey, especially the 24 hours one--shop till ya drop. Oh yeah baby!

I mostly shop at Walmart.com because living in NY I only went to Walmart when I visited my family in South Carolina. FH tells me there is one in NJ. They better roll out the red carpet for me because they will know me by name when I leave!!!

Good, I'm glad you don't think it's tacky. Sometimes I go to Walmart and don't need a thing, but I buy anyway! That place is addicting.

DaughterRhonda, we're registered at Bed-Bath and Beyond and Linens and Things. We were registered at Macy's but noticed when we reviewed our list maybe two days later the prices on some of the items increased by a lot. We decided against them. ADVICE: make sure you have on comfortable shoes and your stomach is full. It's time consuming. Don't be afraid to scan expensive stuff. You'd be surprised some of your guests (well you know your guests)look for the most expensive item to buy. You can register on line or at the store. If you register at the store you can see/feel the quality. Whatever you scan at the store you can edit on line. That's what we did until we got the registry like we wanted.
God is good all the time and all the time God is good
Thanks for that great advice Marshine. I think a lot of companies/vendors see dollars signs when the word "wedding" is attached to it. I think that is high-way robbery! It's a shame. I will definitely wear comfortable shoes. Better yet, I may just register on-line because FH doesn't have much patience for these type of things.

We've registered at Target (our store of choice) & Bed, Bath, & Beyond (his favorite store), so far. The other store will be Macy's (my personal fav)
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.

People will definitely appreicated you when they see your entire registry is not expensive. One of the ladies said don't be affraid to add the expensive stuff which is true but not the entire gift selection, everybody pocket isn't the same so be considerate and they will appreciate you by purchasing everything you requested...me luvs me some Wally also :-)

I was just talking to our operator here at school and she was telling me how one of her friends got married on the weekend and her bridal selection was at Macy's "Ralphe Lauren" collection....
First of all do you know how much of an inconvenience that is for people, you either have to catch a flight to go buy her a gift, or you have to order it online where you better have a US address because we do not have the luxury of a postman bringing any packages to our doors, so you have to go collect it from the Post office yourself and pray to God they do not destroy it with their terrible man handling....and when order, not only do you have to have a US addy....you gatta pay shipping and handling. The operator said she went on line to look at the selection and the sheets were $500.00 - the devil is a liar - I told her - sweetgirl...."I blame you for entertaining her".
First of all the gift selection was not practical and how many people you know can afford to buy you a $500.00 sheet set....that was unbelivable for me and totally unaccpetable.
You have to be considerate towards people....you just have to!

So true. My registry has inexpensive to moderately priced items. I try to be considerate of people, especially since some people have to travel from another state to get to my wedding.

See Rony that's what I mean right there...think about people...I know it's our day but some of these people are not as wealthy as others and they really want to support you and wish you well...I tell you they will repect you so much.
