21st Century Mother of the Bride

This is what on of my MOB's is wearing to her daughters wedding;

I fully intend to sizzle a my son's wedding.

Girl, don't get it twisted, that IS a destination wedding gown. The lady is just wearing it as a MOB gown for her daughter's wedding. It is hot!
LOL!!

Well, this is what the bride is wearing;

I think MOB will definately get more heads turning.

I don't think they realize how hot mom is going to be. The gown is trimmed with beading.

Mom is going to be on FIRE!!!! Poor thing (daughter)! But go 'head momma, do the darn thing!!

Daughter is completely drop-dead-gorgeous/model material! And so is her little girl, so if it's genetic-you are so right-'Momma do the damn thing!'

I love these MOB dresses they don't look like sunday go to meeting dresses. Septbride I too wondered if she carried Forever Yours line. My BM's are wearing that line and because my mother is a 21 century MOB she wants to look jazzy and wear burnt orange too. We've been looking at Forever Yours MOB dresses and they have them in burnt orange. She hasn't seen one that just jumps out at her.If anyone sees a burnt orange dress in another line please let me know.

If you get me the style number I can order the gowns for you, I just don't stock them.

As I said before, my mother is a little heavier but she doesn't wear (or want to wear) anything "old looking". I looked at this (which is nice and elegant) but I think she wants something with a little more going on. lol This dress has beading around the neckline, sleeve and edging. I can't find the link that shows the detailing.

THanks Charly. Knowing my mother, she'd say something like: "Girl, that's for smaller women. I would look like a bird in this." lol

That's my feeling exactly charley. Do you want to upstage your own child on her wedding day? One of my bride's mothers wore a white dress with a white scarf on her head and trailing behind her like a train. The bride couldn't stop crying about it she was so MAD! She picked out a dress in her wedding colors for the mother. Would you like it if the GROOM's mother wore a sexy dress on your wedding day?

Now see these dresses are cute, but my mom is tooo hip. I am visiting her in Boynton Beach to try on dresses (yes and I have decided on THE dress), but my mom just showed me her brand new belly ring....yes I said it "belly ring"....yes my mom is like that, sexy! She wears brown contacts or green when she is in the mood and has 6 inch dreads...I was thinking of a dress that was either ankle length or calf length....but I ain't gone lie....she is likely to get all the attention (not her fault)....any suggestions for an afrocentric, hip, small in the waist, big booty mom? :)
