Ok, now that I have your attention and things are slow and quiet at work... For those who don't remember: Ant and I were sent to Iraq and started a relationship, he proposed Jul 04. We returned home Feb 05 and planned Jul wedding. I had reservations because of his finances, baby mommas and stability. So in Apr 06 I decided to fast and not talk to him or anyone about us so I could clearly hear from God. I'm a dreamer and a dream I had during the deployment showed me that there was nothing good to come of us but I didn't really have an interpretation until recently. Since then, I miscarried our child just days after we decided to go forward with the marriage and often we ignore warnings- I simply couldn't afford to anymore, its just too costly. Well I broke off the relationship and amazingly I ran into my next door neighbor I grew up with (who has become an outstanding man of God). We ended up talking and come to find out he had been hiding his feelings for me (26 years later) so we've been talking, praying and fasting together and most importantly- abstaining. Things Ant and I never did despite my expressed desire to have that type of relationship. So recently Ant calls crying over the ended relationship and reveals to me that he hadn't given his life to God (although he grew up Lutheran). Now, I'm taking my exhale moment in life and am enjoying each day.
Well sistah one thing I can say is that you certainly have a "good head" on your shoulders. The fact that you acknowledge God and as the saying goes allow Him to direct your life (path) -- is the best thing you can do. God speaks to us in soooo many ways and the fact that you have year ear ready and willing to listen to Him is a blessing. I wish you all the best. Again welcome back!

Ladies, ladies, ladies. I'm in pure bliss right now. I got to spend a few minutes of my lunch hour with my "angel" and he just continues to make me feel so special. He seems to know what to say and when to say it even when he's going through and is sick. We were conversating and laughing and just enjoying the moment so before I left I asked him, "will it always be this way?" He smiles at me and says, "it gets better" as I got ready to walk away. Its about 3 hours later and I can still smell his body oil.
I now know what my mom was talking about. I didn't have this type of excitement with Ant at all. Cornelus hasn't even proposed yet and I want to declare from the mountaintops that I am in love with this man. The sad thing is that we've known each other all of our lives but to someone who may not know that, it would appear that I've left one relationship and went straight into another one. Cornelus is in the process of fasting for the month for a confirmation of our anticipated engagement and wedding. I know that the Bible says where two or more stand in agreement... so ladies, stand with us if you would and say a prayer that God's will be revealed and that our desire to be husband and wife be honored and brought forward. I'm claiming a beautiful fall wedding this year.

Oh ladies, he just keeps getting better and better. I really wanted to see him one evening and I was a bit disappointed when I didn't until he explained why the next day. He told me the desire to see me was so strong that if he had, temptation would be so great so he decided to avoid the situation altogether. Is that a wise gentleman or what...
I love him already.....he is oh so wise...the last thing you need is to rush into anything.

I kinda feel like sista I haven't been up here or posted anything in a minute..I'm still trying to get into the swing of planning b/c there ain't gonna be no mess next year lol..we were having some bridesmaids issues but please keep us in prayer lawd!! but my next thing is trying to find a dress w/o breakin the pockets..I'm looking at a dress now on the davids bridal website and its $800.00 its kinda high but its a very nice dress if I could find the same style cheaper I would go after that..What do you ladies think

Ladies I got a good one for you if you're looking for a beautiful inexpensive dress. www.militarybride.com and you don't have to be in the military- they even have stuff for kids, ceremony needs etc. I ordered my dress and bag for under $300 and you can return/exchange the dress.

Yes you can. Now explaining it is another thing -- lol!!! What I do is save a picture from a website that I'd like to post. I then use www.photobucket.com and retrieve the picture (using their browser) and submit it to their website and they will convert it for you. You then go and highlight the version you want (IMG) and cut and paste it. I hope I have not confused you. If it doesn't work just tell me what gown it is and I will do the honors of posting it for you.
