wedding photos RUINED

13 ROLLS OF NOTHING.
*smart photographer walked thru security checkpoint in airport and put the rolls on the belt...right into xrays....and did I mention the WRONG film speed was used. (photos look like a dollar store camera took them...)I do have a few pics family members took...

*ok so I can't get angry (already did that...full tantrums/and a trip to the ER to check on bambino after said tantrum....so I have put it in HIS hands.

*what I do have, is my video...unedited, but I don't care...it's all there atleast I guess...we will freeze frame it on the computer and print what we need from it...

Hi to all, just had to get that off my chest....

ooooohhh noooo! Don't le tit drive you crazy! Thank GOD you had disposable cameras and video. You can get it professionally edited later. Make a back up of it. Even if you think it wasn't shot right they can make it look like a million bucks!

Is he offering and compensation for your loss at all?

I know I would have. I think you should check your contract and see what are the compensations for when the photographer doesn't deliver, because he/she so did NOT!

Re: wedding photos RUINED

That's the sad thing, he was commissioned by my brother to do the job. He was flown in, given a room and a rental car...and of course he ate his belly full at my reception. He took my brother's pictures, and their wedding was on the beach back home...pictures came back flawless. No one knows he (photographer) sent me the ruined packet....he got tired of me harrassing him, so he sent all that he had. (he sent them to my brother 3 days after the wedding...and I am assuming he is trying to fix them himself...the embarrassment will kill him since he gave the photographr to us as our wedding present and he has NO IDEA... that I have them (copies) in my possession...I can't even be mad because I know the blessings I have already been favored with. I know the enemy is mad, but man what bride wouldn't be pissed...I just wanted a nice album. I will post some other pics as I get them fixed. I do have a program called ULEAD that is doing wonders, however it is a long process...and I have 13 rolls to deal with.

Island gyrl you just taught me a lesson without even trying. Just from hearing your story I will be buying wedding cameras and placing them on the guest book table for the guest to take pictures of us.I will have to write that they are to be returned to the table after the wedding so I can have my pictures. I would rather have those pictures than none if the photographer doesnt show up, messes up the film, or whatever could happen. I hope that you can fix some of the damage done to your pictures and come out with at least 1 good album..

Hey Allies, I purchased some wedding cameras from EBAY and those cameras already come with cards that ask that the guests leave the cameras on the table for the bride and groom.

Buy them with the wedding theme on them. Place them on the table, and maybe an hour before your reception is over have someone go around to each table with a cute little bridal gift bag and have them place the camera's in them.

Island, I feel so bad for you (I know I'm late). But, something good will come from this. If he doesn't deliver, I would get reimbursed for the money I did put out (rental car, airfare, hotel, etc).

Re: wedding photos RUINED

I absolutely BELIEVE in wedding cameras. they are great ice breakers for your guests AND they are perfect back ups. My wedding pics were so sad. I had a amall reception at Blackbeard's Castle and I did n't get but one shot of my surroundings which were breathtaking! My advice is have one on every table and at least one at the entrance so you can catch all your guests coming in while their makeup is still fresh!

Re: wedding photos RUINED

I am so sorry that happened to you! But, be thankful for technology and those who were smart enough to bring cameras to your wedding. This post has definitely helped me out. I was not initially planning on disposables but now it is definitely a great idea. One per table or set it up next to the guest sign in @the reception.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I know no other way. ~ Pablo Neruda
