Ladies, what's usually the time off frame before your wedding? For instance, my wedding is on a Saturday. How many days before that do I need to take off work? I hope to have mostly everything out of the way so things could be smooth sailing, but there's always the stragglers. lol

That's the same thing that I was think PB&J. I'm just trying to get my vacation days together now. lol
Thats a good period of time. I think depending on where you work you may be able to take longer, or your boss may just give you a set time.Everybody knows how a wedding can be and shouldnt expect you to be at work 2 days before or after your wedding anyway.

Always check with your supervisor to see what the allowed time is and get the time off that away before. Sometimes you can you use can use your personal days also.
I can do all things through christ which strengthens me.
Hi Ladies, I'm getting married on a Saturday. I will be taking off the Thursday and Friday before the wedding. I am responsible for doing payroll at work so unfortunately I have to report to work that Monday (I don't have a back-up person). I am planning on leaving for our honeymoon that Wednesday, although I haven't confirmed anything as yet.

Girl please. I'm not checking with anyone with can I take the days off, because that's no question. lol I just wanted know what's the average time brides take off. I will be using vacation days - my company doesn't have "personal" days.
Well I dont have a supervisor since as for right now I am a babysitter. All my clients will know that I will need alot of time for the wedding. But that really wont hinder much because all of my kids are school age so I can always handle wedding buisiness during school hours. As far as a honeymoon goes FH has such a crazy schedule as a COACHUSA bus driver we never rally know what he will be doing until the night before or even the day of. I will have to tell him he has to request a few days off for a honeymoon tho.I'm sure the company will allow it since we are getting married.
SInce I am having to travel to my wedding anyways, I am taking 3-4 days off before the event to get my flowers, and my cake in order. I have not decided the days beyond that since we have not finalized a honeymoon spot or time yet.
Rony you are in a unique situation, but you will do best by alerting the proper folks at your job and even seeing if you can get checks in a few days early or something-depends on how it works over there....
I know if a holiday is on payday they give the checks early.....Good luck.
We've been Happily Married 2 Years and Counting:)
