Hello Ladies, I just got off of the telephone with my mother and we was talking about the limo. I told her all I needed the limo to do was drop me off at the ceremony site and to pick me up later that night and bring me home. She told me that I need to get a hotel room. She said that couples usually go to the hotel after their wedding. I just wanted to know where you ladies where going.

Hi housewife147. Usually when you rent a limo you have to rent it for 3hours. The limo picked me up and brought me to the church then it stayed outside the church looking good. When the ceremony was over the limo took hubby and I to the reception site which was at a hotel and we stayed the night at the hotel.

We're staying at at hotel near Newark Airport.
Haven't decided yet. When I get to Barbados boy,am I going to be busy, cause that is another thing to be sorted.
We're going to a hotel on the beach...the wedding & reception are just across A1A from the hotel. That is so cool to me.
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.

Girl, that's the main reason I picked this hotel - the staircase blew me away - and believe me, it's much nicer in person. There's 2 grand pianos that you can't even see. It is beautiful! My kids said "Mommy, we want to live here!" lol
I was thinking about booking a hotel room at the Sheraton at the Newark Airport because I am going to have my bridal shower there and the lady mentioned some sort of discount, or either the Marriot. I actually forgot about the Hilton.

And you know what Askalot you just gave me a great idea. I was not planning on taking pics at the hotel, because I was just going to leave from my house and after the reception go to the hotel. But we can just leave from the hotel.

I'm not sure which one yet. I just want easy access to the airport in the a.m.
The Hilton is beautiful.
I'm trying to figure out where we are going too. The night before I wanted to stay at a hotel near Newark Airport but my mother wants me to get ready in her bedroom for "tradition."
The night after we have a reservation at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in West Orange, NJ. It's a great hotel and it's right near our reception.

Actually, the thought never crossed my mind until my mother brought it up. I was planning on leaving from my house and getting dropped off at my house and leave that sunday to go on my honeymoon. My mother is the one who told me that I was suppose to go to the hotel afterwards. Since Askalot mentioned taking pictures at the hotel before her ceremony, I figured that it would be a good idea for me and my girls to just get dressed at the hotel. I am going to book a honeymoon suite for me and my fh for after the reception, and a plan room for me and my girls to get dressed in I guess. I dont know.

I'm having fun responding to the post. Keeps me from eating cookies (smile). We opted to have our ceremony and reception at the hotel. Everything's in one place which makes it nice for us and our guest. Yes, getting a room at a hotel is a great idea; as you might be too tired afterwards to drive and/or do what you might have planned such as gathering things and whatever else brides do after the wedding.
We are staying at the Hilton; family cookout next day. I just want to rest; I don't want to hang out too long, want to enjoy the hotel.
Get your hotel girl.

We are working on it. We are not having any of our events happen at a hotel (ceremony at my church and recpetion at a restaraunt), so we are trying to find a hotel that will give us a great rate on a honeymoon or presidential suite since we are using some hotels as our "Host hotels" which will give our guests a break on the price. So far we have not been able to find a decent price, so we are still looking.

I was going to just go home after the reception. I didnt really think about a hotel room because we are not going on out honeymoon until that sunday.

Okay, let me tell you a little secret. Most places that you book a block of rooms give you a discount. So, I'm blocking 10 rooms for the night of our wedding. However, for the suite, we were able to get it for $350 - $550 cheaper. The suites range from $600 - $800. Even if a lot of your guests do not book with a hotel, you're not obligated to pay for those rooms. I picked this hotel because I absolutely love the winding staircase! House, you should go by there this weekend to look at it. It is beautiful in person. This hotel is actually 5 minutes from my wedding/reception site, so it's perfect.
You got a great deal, and just by the photos you posted I can tell that this place is marvelous. I will try to go to the hotel this weekend and thanks sor the tips.

Ocho Rios Jamaica for honeymoon, 8 luxurious days, all inclusive (drinks-meals). I want to see Bob Marley's grave, and his hometown if there's time.

We will be at the (Beaches) resort already but the day after we are going to go to another Sandals (Beaches) resort on the other side of the island.
Another money saving tip I read: Have two different cars/limos. Maybe a car to take you to the ceremony and then have them leave. And then another one can pick you up after the ceremony. (You are usually charged by the hour.) But if you think your 2nd car will be late or if your ceremony will not be that long it may not be worth the trouble.
