I am wrapping up some details...I still cannot decide what song I want my male soloist friend to sing when I come down the aisle....Other than that, my coordinator and I are working out the last few things. I am cool. I came home from work early due to a little tummy ache, but I think I just ate too much at lunch:)

I don't hve butterflies......YET. So we'll see. Well today I caught a few because I lost my Nametag that we have to use for the internship so when I go to order another, she's like, Oh it'll be ready on Tuesday. So then it hits me: I need to order one in my NEW name because after Wednesday I will be off and the next time I use the nametag I'll be a newlywed...So I did catch a few today.
I decided to let the male soloist sing "Love" by Musiq when I walk down the aisle. I told my fiance today, and he had the biggest grin on his face and grabbed my hand.

Right now the RSVP's are mostly in (late) but in....so now I'm looking at the list wondering if I should do a seating chart rather than the original plan to reserve 3 tables for immediate family, then open seating for everyone else. Its a little time-consuming but its worth it when all goes well.....My fiance is like don't do it, but it keeps nudging me in the side......I will sleep on it and decide tomorrow.

You know what, I was watching Who's weddings is it anyways (My fave show), and there was this bride, and the thing I remember about her was that she had gotten dressed really fast, got her hair, make-up ready, and then she was just sitting there waiting on everyone else to get it together. She was so funny. Just sitting there calmly... I mean girlfriend was like, I am ready to get this show on the road, just as pleased as punch! I am taking a note in relaxation from her, so I keep an image of her when I get stressed.
I also tell people who ask (even if to encourage my own self sometimes) that I really am excited and ready to get my life started already. I speak positivity, and I don't focus on the little details anymore. I have taken a lot of anxiety off myself lately by just calling my coordinator if there is an "emergency" and of course she'll say don't worry about it, its handled, and I'll go about my business and forget about it. So I put my stresses on her. Thats what she is here for.

So as far as an update, I dropped my engagement ring to the jeweler so it could get cleaned, inspected (warranty requirements), and dipped in rhodium so it can be shiny again since I've been wearing it since May 06. It will be ready by Saturday, and will look as good as new! So exciting.

I pick up my dress on Wednesday afternoon, do out final pre-wedding consultation with my Pastor Sunday Morning, pay for the cake, pick up our car from the shop (I got into a little accident last thursday with the new car-agghhhh), and we should get our license in the mail Wednesday or thursday of next week. Thursday is a workday, but its cool. I will have a friend give my students their exam thursday night, so all I have to do is just take them to be scanned Friday afternoon and the results will be ready.
Friday, hair, nails, massage, then rehearsals. Oh yeah, FAMILY ARRIVING. Mom will behere in 6 days....so here we go.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLPPP! I need a song (instrumental) that the musicians can play while the wedding party comes down the aisle! When I enter, a male soloist will be singing "Love" by Musiq Soulchild, but i need something for them to play before that:)

And of course the day (today) we turn in the numbers for the caterer and pay, I get a cancellation for 4 people to drop out (not their fault-well I wasn't told in time cause their family member died over a week ago-and no one thought to call me until the last minute). The caterer already does 10 over so now we have 14 extra spaces from jump. This minor.......
But last Friday, the girl arranging my silk flowers called me and said the flowers I dropped off 24 hours before to her were the wrong color. I told her that those flowers were the ones I matched to the reciept she gave me of the samples she;d bought but she said they were wrong. (I may have had the wrong receipt who knows?) Then she wanted me to pick the flowers up from her the next morning and go get the right color. But I couldn't cause I had a hair appointment, and after that she would have been gone to jacksonville with our church to sing by then. She also forgot that I'd asked her 2 weeks ago when I picked them up if that specific flower was the right color because it is a very bright yellow-which I liked-and she said yes. I had called her in a tizzy about those bright yellow flowers because I saw another off-whitel type flower that seemed like it would work with the bouquet better and I thought then that I was wrong, but like I said, she said my color-based on the description was correct.

Anyways after she called me last friday, I simply said I'd call her back cause i was gonna try to figure out a time, and called my coordinator and told her what happened. I thought about it and said that I couldn't change the flowers because 1, the flowers I had were over a month late and we needed too many to try and order a slightly different shade. So I told her to tell this girl to just use the flowers i bought cause its a pretty flower-though not the one she originally wanted (but she should have gone to the store herself)-but i like it and thats it.
Then she told my coordinator today that she can't find the other flowers I also dropped off, but i said that she needs to go back to the salon where I dropped them and check again, cause its there. Then at church yesterday, I tried to catch her eye to say hi, and she didn't say anything to me! You mean I'm paying you hundreds of dollars to wrap up some silk flowers? You need to be hunting me down and asking me if I needed anything or telling me that you are ready and willing to accomodate and help me! I mean, I didn't dwell in it at the time, but its kind of messed up thinking back at it. When I'm in church all I concentrate is on praise but now that I've had to think about it, I will be having a talk with her cause i don't appreciate that. She only called me to tell me I got the order wrong. I know I am venting, but like I said I'm keeping it cool. I need to pray so my attitude is straight cause I don't want to be messed up in the head about this anymore.
Anyways, me and my FH practiced our dance to our first song: "Lost without you" By Robin Thicke:)

But I needs ya'll to recommend a song for me. Later.

Great ideas ya'll! I will forward them to my FH and he can give insight. I really don't care WHICH song we use, as long as its smooth. I just need to pick something that will flow into the song my friend is going to sing when I walk down the aisle.

Okay so:

I picked up my dress yesterday, and over the phone I finalized details with the DJ, the # for the caterer and for the bakers for the cake. Everyone is paid except for the Church and my Pastor, my wedding coordinator, and the other half of the deposit for the photographer, which he doesn't want until the 10th. We have cashier's checks for all of the above mentioned.

We did our final pre-marital counseling (15 minutes of FH and Pastor ganging up on me- cracking jokes, and some then finally over an hour of counseling, and he gave us a gift.), then we went straight to the courthouse with our certificate of completion and applied for the license, which we got immediately since we got counseling, and also 30.00 off of the fee cause we had our certificate. While were were there we saw a very young couple, with a very nervous bride to be and an eager groom picking up their license which they apparantly had already applied for. Just when I was going to exchange some nice words, they got up and went into a room to get married right then in there! They were in their street clothes, not even dressed up. Her hair was pulled back and she looked like a scared puppy. The girl's top was even short. I felt so bad for her. Then my slick-mouth FH said she might have been pregnant (So of course I slapped him).

Later I ran some more errands until I was dog-tired, and then stayed up late working on our guest book which is actually a black scrapbook which I used a metallic silver stamp/paint with a modern heart design to decorate, and put some of our engagement pics, and some other wedding scrapbook decor, downloaded some fancy fonts cause I couldn't find what I liked on Microsoft to decorate, but left space for guests to write a note or sign their name. Since the pages are black they have to sign with metallic silver pens...So I got little sleep.

AND, since my mom arrived in town today, she went and got her dreads tightened and styled, and after working out of town today, and checking up on her, and trying to figure out why my cell is acting up-plus a nice little tornado watch, I have not eaten a thing, and I am about to give my 111 undergrads a very hard exam in a half-hour.....Half-way through, my coordinator/co-worker is taking over by proctoring my exam for me, so I can go and do a run-through for the make-up. I hope I can get something to eat soon.....But I am not tired. I am excited (my ring is finally ready for pick-up, after its been inspected, cleaned, and dipped in rhodium to make it shiny again)....Of course I have been waiting on it for a week cause the jeweler is in the hospital, and the ring had to be brought back to the store by his wife.....I'm cool....still hungry though.
