Have any brides had "bridal portraits" taken? Are any planning on doing them? We took quite a few photos, but didn't necessarily have a formal "portrait session." Can't some of my photos be considered "bridal portraits" or is this something I should do?

I am taking Bridal Portraits and I plan to use a large portrait at my reception but after it will be at my parents house. I think your pictures are considered portraits just put them in a nice frame and wa-la!

That sounds really nice, SweetP. This bride did a really glitzy one. It's near the bottom. I don't think I'm doing any more photos until there's a bun in the oven. :o)

This photographer has 3 styles he calls traditional, fashion, and passion.
Defabis
He describes bridal protraits as "in studio and pre wedding" and says that they are beneficial because they use special lighting and backdrops. I don't have any of those because the wedding was the first time we met the photographer, and I remember the seamstress telling me not to try on the gown again until the wedding.
I think what I have now are traditional but without the "in studio and prewedding." You know, I think I might do this, especially since we didn't do any engagement photos, and I know the photographer will do professional retouching for these. I think I might check out somebody's work. This could be fun! I know DH would enjoy some "passion" photography. ;o)
