Board Names

Great question DW. I've been around here a while and that question has never been asked (I think -- LOL)!. I chose the name DaughterRhonda because my pastor calls me Daughter Rhonda (instead of the traditional "Sister Rhonda"). The Vibride ladies call me Rhony for short. Rhony was given to me by CharlotteModebe (aka Charley) a sister who hasn't posted here in a while.

My husband started calling me Rhon (about 19 years ago). Now everyone else (my mom, sister, brothers & cousins) calls me Rhon too -- I guess it was catchy -- LOL!!! I like Rhony better, but I would never tell him that.

Sept (short for September - the month I'm getting married). Bride is what I will be in September. Therefore, Septbride :-)

My FH started calling me bumblebee when I we first started dating (1999) for reasons I am too bashful to disclose. He was creating an email address for me about 4 years ago because he wanted me to have a yahoo account that I don't use. Anyhoo, my friends call me kiki for short(My first name is pronounced Die-Key-Bra (Dykibra) so he added "kee" to bumblebee and there you have it....

Well my screen name is housewife147 because at the time that I got my first computer I was unemployed and my fh took care of all of the bills and anything that we needed. I in return would do all of the things that a housewife would do( cook, wash clothes, iron clothing, etc..) and the 147 is the numbers in my address.

This is a cool thread, DW! My FH is Zimbabwean and "musikana" means beautiful woman in Shona, his first language.

Musikana, I've given it some thought. For a nickname, how do you like Musik. (I thought about you and your FH making beautiful music together, but we will use the "k" instead of the c). Ladies what do you think of Musik's new nickname for the boards?

Thanks DW, we've been fussing since Monday and just made up today so you're timing is great cuz it reminds me just how much he does love me.

Of course the meaning of my screen name is quite obvious!!....lol...Lord I'm about to be somebody's bride in about 7 months....then a wife!!!....too much...

Thanks DW. My mom and my god mother put their heads together and basically made it up from other names...So it doesn't have a meaning, like many people believe.
Anyhoo, I especially like this post because it lets us know how cool and interesting you guys are.....Great idea DW!

I;ve always been described as a brown skinned chick/ lady etc, so brownskinchick just kinda stuff.

I chose Georgiagurl for the obvious reasons ( I am from Ga, I live in GA and I love it here!)

T-A-J are the initials of my oldest children names- TREY, ASHLEY, JASMINE. So when I had the last baby, I named him TAJ. Therefore I'm TAJMOM-all the way around:).

Springbride = we're getting married during the Spring season
360 = I've known my fiancee since college, we were social but never dated then, 9 years later we ran into each other & our relationship soon grew serious. This brought everthing full circle...complete 360 degrees.

I know I haven't been here for a looong while so many of you may not know my screen name but I'm Alvinslove.......My FH name is Alvin and his love for me is incredible, so I put love and Alvin together and got Alvinslove. Most of you may know me as Allies or AllieS, I got that name from Charley.

DWBride when I see your name I think of the shoe store first and then Authur's little sister DW, I love that cartoon on PBS.

My board name is a 'school' nickname I've held on to since 7th grade. Its funny to run into people from my high school/college days and they call me that.

Leanne is actually my middle name.

MrBoston is a straight up geek! I don't think that name is quite fitting, either. He doesn't even have an accent! Some of those dudes are ?--So Weird!

That show is rediculous. The need to take that junk off the air. Just when I thought that flavor flav was bad, VH1 fools me.

Don't waste your time watching it...for real, it's really quite odd to see these men fawning over that trash talking, cigarette smoking hootchie. Basically it's a bunch of men who are competing for the affection and love of this one chick named New York. (she was formerly in compitition to win flava flavs heart...she lost)Actually I take that first part back, it like the show is so bad...I can't help but to watch it...Mr.Boston is wack.

I have no idea. I wish he would just sit his crazy azz down somewhere. He was on Tyra and looked like a fool there too. The sad thing is he really think he got it going on.

I know Randy, a contestant that was booted off the show the first night. I believe his name on the show was wood. He is a stripper. LOL.
