I'm not nervous...that seems to be the one question EVERYBODY asks.

Re: Remaining 2006 Brides!

I feel like a stranger, as I haven't been able to access this sight to keep up with what's going on with everyone. My time has come; I am to be wed on December 9th 2006 in Singer Island Florida at the Hilton Hotel.

I can fit my dress (ordered last year one size smaller) thank God! I had another dress made for reception, set for last fitting on Wednesday.

I've run up a large bill shipping all of my stuff via UPS. I don't even want to total everything and hope I can write it off next year's tax time. I came up with so many creative ideas, and were able to put most of them into something tangible. Just finished wedding programs where I had our baby pictures drawn in charcoal. We have mermaid (nymph-baby) tails on and are both sitting in a shell. I added some graphics such as seahorses, squid, treasure chest and ring pillow all encrusted with crystals. It looks amazing, don't mean to brag. My treasure boxes are finally done; they look great. I hope my guest will appreciate the time and effort that was spent on these projects and not just toss them to the wayside.

My invitations of the carricature of (us) the bride and groom went over big. Everyone thought it was cute. I even had postage stamps with the same picture in black and white of course.

I was upset at one thing; the RSVP process. It is a pain to get folks to RSVP. They don't understand that weddings cost thousands of dollars, and to RSVP is just plain common courtesy and ettiquette. I am dealing with a bunch of folks that I am unacustomed to being around. I can say that the grooms family did everything that they were suppose to do.

My flower lady is on my xhit list! I don't know what she plans to do, and she's changed up with what she said she'd do several times. I am afraid of this. Her work is okay for the South. However, us California folks have different taste.

I can't begin to tell you the many shoes purchased for this event, simply because I cannot make up my mind as to what to wear.

My fiance purchased my ring at 5 carats; center stone 1.8. It is a show stopper, and I really love the ring. I can't wait to sport it on that special day.

Thinking of booking a flight early just to fly in both of my dresses; I don't think the airline will allow for two dresses, two tuxedos and a puppy.

I arrive in Florida on December 6th with so much to do. All of my Welcome and Thank You material needs to be put together. I will try to do that the very first day. Oh, I ordered shot glasses with our picture on them, pralines and chocolate gold coins for the treasure chest and galvanized pails. I also ordered miniature liquor bottles for the chests.

As you can see, planning a wedding long distance takes a lot out of you both financially and physically. I am exhausted and cannot wait for the day to begin and end.

To all of you brides whose wedding is set for the next month, good luck and may everything go as planned on such a special occasion.

I can't wait to post pictures of everything.

Still deciding on hairstyle. Purchased extensions to make hair longer. I want to look fabulous!

I am marrying December 9th as well, yeah! I'm to wed and have reception at the Hilton Singer Island Oceanfront Resort Hotel in Singer Island Florida. Ceremony to begin (on the beach) at 4:30 PM. For those on Bahamian/Jamacian time, I put 3:30 on the invitation just to make sure they show up on time for everything, not just the booz. The ceremony is on the beach but, your feet never hits the sand. 80 guest right now and not a guest more. My aunt is splicing the music for me. My songs are:

You Lift Me Up By Josh Grobin? Prelude to wedding party songs
Close To You Karen Carpenter
We've Only Just Begun Karen Carpenter
Fields of Barley Eva Cassidy
Come Away With Me Nora Jones
Don't Know Why Nora Jones
Somewhere Over The Rainbow Eva Cassidy
I want to walk in on the end of that song; it's such a pretty song. The walk is a very long walk to the platform to the beach. Tiki torches to adorn both sides with flower arrangements. Two large flower arrangements where ceremony is to be held. Could You Be Loved by Bob Marley to play after we're announced mand and wife.

I change into my second dress after pictures and then we're announced. First dance; Save My Life With You Tamia and Eric Bennet

Menu is Filet Mignon and Black Grouper served with Gorgonzola cheese and dried cherry salad. Cocktail hour is lobster tails, coconut shrimp, crab cakes, and another entree I can't think of right now.

Bar is premium liquor for 4 hours. Cake is filled with a bunch of starfish and shells all dusted in lavender. My top piece is to die for. I purchased it from Toppers With Glitz.com Thank You and Welcome Gifts are a treasure box encrusted with Svarski crystals and slogans from very important people, embossed. The inside of the chest has a map that I had made. At the bottom of the chest it reads Thank You embossed. The chest is to be filled with a shot glass with our caricature picture on the front and wedding date. A large praline, chocolate gold coins, small bottle of liquor, necklace made of shells and beads and an assortment of shells. I also have another bottle that I think I need to fill with sand or find something to fill it with. I might try Jellybeans at last minute. Our names are on the bottle as well. The pail has our picture on it; I posted it a while ago. It will be filled with coins and some other stuff. I had embossed logo bags made which has our names on them and a picture of two palmtrees, the sunset and a conch shell. It's see through white and very pretty embossed in Silver. I also have bells going out to everyone.

My fiance will be roasted by another friend. I wanted to have a short caracature film done but the kids who do that stuff were out for the summer; it takes a lot of time to do a project of that sort but, I wrote it out and it would have been very cute; like a cartoon.

Reception over at 10:30. My program reads at the end, "Going back to California."

I hope that the people we invited appreciate the intricate details that were put into every little thing that we did.

I will keep my fingers crossed. I really want to post all of my pics to this sight. Is it possible for me to post my video ? Please let me know.

Spend the money to Overnight the dress. I am doing two suits, the shoes, the dresses so that I don't have to bother with anything. I have this huge petticoat that has to go as well. I hope your wedding turns out to be everything you dreamed of. I can't wait to see your pics.

I have a good thing to share with everyone. I thought I would have to overnight my dress by utilizing U.S. Mail and/or UPS. Turns out, at my last fitting today, I found out that David's Bridal will overnight for 40.00 to a residence instead of David's Bridal. They are cleaning the dress today and sending it out tomorrow for shipping. Saved me a ton of money.

Now, this second dress is going to be a pain in the butt. I will make it work. Ladies, I am officially tired. Just found out that we are having a picnic after all. I just want to relax the next day at the hotel and say my goodbyes to my CA guests. We were going to have a dinner at his moms but, the home isn't big enough so, we came up with the idea to use either the Wellington Recreation Center and/or the park, depending on the weather. It is cold in Florida as I write this, about 60 degrees.

I'm having music problems but, will work it out. Enough complaining, it's almost here! Good luck to all you ladies and I can't wait to get home to post my pics.
