True Romantic

we met at a house party of one of his fraternity brothers' homes...my girlfriendd and cousin had been out the night before and met them at a club in DC...but I stayed home not feeling like being bothered...getting all dressed up and all...they called me and begged me to give them directions from DC to Bmore where the party was...so I ended up driving with them following me. They dragged me in the party..and I can recall saying to them "oh boy...how fun will this be..I didn't meet anyone yall did....."
FH was on the balcony overlooking the parking area and was waving at me ...i laughed and when we were introduced...he said oh laugh now...ur gonna marry me one day lol.

Okay, I will try to say this as short as possible. When I was in H.S. I was in a Sorority (a chapter that's under Delta Sigma Theta). One day at step practice, my cousin was dropped off by this fwine (fine) guy. I told her "I HAVE TO MEET HIM - YOU HAVE TO HOOK ME UP". So, the next day she gave me his number. We talked and stupid ole me, playing head games (I was 15 years old), told him hold on, this is this guy with a BMW or this guy that likes me keeps calling me, etc. Little did I know, that turned him off - he thought I was a hot tail. So, we stopped talking. Then, a few years later, I saw him again but he had a girlfriend and baby - he said I gave him the most evil look - I don't remember that though. lol I had moved on anyway and was pregnant myself. Then, we exchanged numbers again around around 1 1/2 years later, but we stopped talking. Around a year after that, we hooked up again and haven't been separated since - this June, it'll be 8 years!!! That's the end of my novel. lol

now THAT'S destiny.

I tend to think so. God kept putting this man back in my life for a reason and vice versa. I thank God that he's the one that I'm going to spend the rest of my life with.

Ok....even though he dont like to tell the story I will anyway.....My FH and I met on a website called BLACKPLANET.COM when we were both 15 years old.I was just playing around one day when he sent me a note saying he liked my picture I had on my page so I replyed to him. We use to stay up all night chatting with each other. After a while he moved away and we only kept in contact over the phone.So for 5 years we talked to each other over the phone.Its so wierd because my FH sisters went to my church and I knew everyone in his family before I even knew him.When I moved and stopped going to that church my FH started going there. On March 21,2004 at age 20 we finally met face to face at my moms house.It didnt even see wierd after 5 years of talking on the phone we knew everything there was to know about each other.Since that day we have been together (through good and bad) and when we get married it will be 3 days after our 3 year anniversary.We wanted it to be on the 21st but thats a weekday.Soon he will be my one and only HUSBAND!I LIKE SAYING THAT WORD.......

I remember when I first got married in 94...everything was about my husband...my husband this, my husband that...(people use to say if only me one have husband) you would be surprised how quick it grows on you without realizing it.

Ok Rony....while that is all fine and good...and I seeing that I have been there before...that focusing on marriage is not really gonna sink in for a couple of months.....you will be on such a high at no fault of your own...its just what happens. The reality of now living with someone to call yours is what it is...there's just not getting around that.

Thanks Charly. We been told that we look alike. I guess it's true that you start looking like your significant other after a while (8 years this April). Yes, it was definitely worth being late...in more ways than one (if you know what I mean).

SeptB I know how you feel when people just keep popping up and you dont know why.Those people are there for a reason.My Fh and I lost contact with each other for a long time after all the moving around we did but for some reason we never erased the other's phone number out of our phones. Even when we switched phones our numbers would get transferred to the new one.One day I called my FH out of the blue and he was with a girl and said he would call me back but he didnt until a year later after they broke up.She was jelouse of me because we talked everyday. Then he caled me back after the year or so and I was in a relationship,that was Jan04.March 04 I was dialing his number and when I pressed the numbers I didnt hear a dial tone,so I put the phone to my ear and I heard him say "hello, Kiesh is that you". That kinda freaked me out that he was thinking about me when I was thinking about him and he was dialing my number at the same time I was dialing his.That time we were both single so we set a date to meet and we been together every since.
Ok I know I just took up like a big section of this post.........lol

I met my fh in high school. I love men who make me laugh, and he was the class clown. He would sit by me everyday in class and get me in trouble because I would be laughing so hard at him and not paying attention to the teacher.

I collect African art in a very casual way and I heard that a friend of a friend was hosting a young African sculptor on his first trip to the States. I went to the showing and bought several pieces (he undersold, I overpayed). Then I boldly asked him to lunch and gave our mutual friend my number to pass on to him. That was on a Friday and he didn't call all weekend. Monday he called and we set a date for Tuesday. Tuesday morning we went to brunch. By the time I got to work I had 5 missed calls. He called another 4 times that day and the next and the next. Now he sculpts mostly women.

Are those women mostly YOU muskiana??? LOL That is a romantic story.
